Can someone who is an expert in domain name SEO guide me on this? I would like to know whether

if I were to buy a domain filled keyword, eg.

catdogreview.com

and if the plural of the domain

catdogreviews.com

has been taken by another person, what if I were to do SEO for catdogreview.com, will the traffic be distributed to catdogreviews.com too?

Thanks.

No don't think so as Google (and lets not leave out the other search engines) will treat as completly different domains regardless of how similar they are.

Bad idea for offline market (radio, tv, word of mouth etc) but should be fine if people are just clicking your links.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
Domain names are just mapped to IP addresses so their is no duplication. As the IP's are different so is the domain name, no matter how close it is to the original. Don't forget its computers that do the redirecting and they can only read in binary.
