SEO confusion

Ok so i just started a job working with SEO, and i need a good place to learn the basics, everywhere i look its a bit too complex,

any suggestions?

    • I'm doing the thirtydaychallenge.com and the first few lessons are the most useful SEO material I have ever come across.
  • The important thing to remember is that content is king. It is a good idea to try and take a look at some of the blogs on SEO because most of them offer genuine help.

  • the one thing you learn quite quickly with SEO, is that though the concepts are simple, actually making it happen is not. everyone says, yeah SEO is simple, its just links, then you ask them, so how exactly do you get those links? silence.

    • There is a lot to learn about SEO and traffic generation, but the best thing you can do is get involved with SEO forums like www.seochat.com and www.seomoz.com. Also, read Google's Webmaster Tools. Believe it or not they talk a lot about what to focus on with regards to SEO.

    You could try Frank Silvestre's SEO Seduction Secrets ebook I've found it very good & extremely clear full of tips about SEO. (I believe he is a warrior member you could ask elsewhere on the forum fo help)
