How to find quality email outreach prospects in 2022?

I'd like to know how those of you who do cold email outreach for building links, do it effectively.

I've followed advice online. One of the most common methods is to check the backlinks of competitors, with Ahrefs for example, and then check the contact email for the domains and send emails.

But when I do that, most of the websites that respond are link farms that offer links from shady websites and often charge ridiculous money.

So, how do you find quality email prospects on legit websites that accept guest posts in 2022?

    Hi Matt,
I know that link building is becoming more difficult day by day.
But, there's always a way out.
Backlinks are the currency of the digital world. So you need to make sure that you can't get them for free.
The best way to get backlinks is to provide value first and backlinks will follow.

Here are some techniques that you can follow as a newbie blogger-

    1. For finding blogs accepting guest posts, you can search for the best guest posting site lists. If this is not helpful, you can check over your competitors and find their guest backlinks, or reverse search for your competitor's photo or guest author description to find the potential sites.

    2. To get the most benefit from guest posting, you can further exchange backlinks with fellow bloggers so that both parties can get maximum benefit.

    Hope it helps.

      Hey Jatin,

Thank you for your insights. Thank you also Matt for bringing this topic up.

I am also interested in learning more about how to do effective link building.

I recently learned in the Coursera course, "Optimizing a Website for Google Search," that exchanging backlinks with topically irrelevant sites can be negative in the long-term. This is due to how Google will appraise these links as being low quality given their lack of relevance to your site.

So for point 2. above, perhaps its good to keep this in mind.

But I am curious, to what extent is this kind of link building ok or even good for topically related sites (e.g., "My business site selling cars linking to other sites/blogs writing about cars")?

If anyone has further reflections on this or the topic in general I would love to hear.

      Kind Regards,
      Francis Gordon

Thanks for your answer, but I don't think it's helpful.

    1. Guest posting site lists are full of link farms trying to sell you links on shady domains. No traffic, no natural links, lots of gambling, drugs, etc. Basically, bad quality websites.

    2. As far as I heard exchanging links doesn't offer the same benefit as getting a 1-way link.

    The question still stands.

If you ask me I've set google alerts on my mailbox for the keywords that I want to get backlinks for. Once I have around 50 good opportunities, I look for the email addresses for the authors on the site, social media (linkedin, twitter, facebook) once I have their emails I verify them to make sure that they are legit. After, the emails are verified, I draft a customized email for every website and blast them.

      Hey Old Molases,

      Thanks for your reply.

Do you have a good resource for how to set up Google alerts for your keywords? Is this through Google Keyword Planner (Google AdWords) or simply through Google Search Console / Google Analytics?

      Cheers!

What's your success rate doing this?

I find google alerts often give big, corporate websites that mostly don't do guest posts.

How do you determine if it's a website worth contacting?

    Thanks

Google alerts is also a nice way to do it.. but usually good websites charges some bucks to do it..

I tried using tools that automatically find emails, but too many of those bounced. Now finding emails isn't a problem.

Finding quality websites to contact is a bigger problem because a lot of them are link farms trying to sell you links.
You want genuine websites that allow you to publish an article. And those are hard to find. That's my question.

In 2022, the best way to find quality email outreach prospects is by using a targeted prospecting tool like. It makes easy to find the contact information for decision-makers at any company, including their email addresses. This makes it much easier to connect with potential customers, since you don't have to spend time manually researching each company and trying to figure out who the right people are to reach out to.

I would like to know that as op, so just watching the thread. Because I think that it is one of the most important skills nowadays. I used to sell things online from my shopify store and I could not sell any product without ConversionSpree. These guys made some magic and I could sell all the storage just in a few first weeks using their service. Unfortunately can't figure out the key they used to do it.
p.s. thanks guys for your recommendations

giving free stuff , first have to enter your email to get which a lot IM all along doing aka funnel page.

StilL subjective in the sense a lot will put fake , temp email to check out your free gift .

They know the free gift is usually crappy stuffs but out of curiosity they will put Fake email whereas some do put real email to check out what you are providing with a follow up email.

To find quality email outreach prospects in 2022, you can start by looking for websites that have a lot of traffic and are relevant to your business.

You can also look for websites that have been recommended by other businesses or organizations.

Once you have a list of potential prospects, you can then research each one to see if they are a good fit for your business.
