I have a question.. I know its been answered but I need a little more detail. You say you post your links in your sig so they are invisible? and also how do you find these forums? do they have be a certain pr rank? how many is recommended to put your sig on..

Oh yea there are TONS of forums that have the sig underlines:/

Any suggestions? Thanks...
Hi Embions, this is a great question and if you'll share your secret, I'll share mine ;-) Just kidding of course...

There can be a significant difference in the income you can generate from say a #8 position and #4 or higher, particularly the top 2 positions. If you are sitting at #8 for example, and have been there awhile without moving up, the best advice I could give you is to start working on getting backlinks to the site.

I try to maximize my ranking potential as much as possible without article marketing, but at some point, where you land is where you land and without intertial forces, you might just be stuck there. So pick up the keyboard and start writing :-)

How many backlinks a day would you suggest to do when seeing a site remains on same spot everyday?

My case, I have a site that is sitting on page 3 at Google... no backlinks at all... been there for couple of weeks for now.. nothing is changing (ranking), but Google did cached my site few days before.

Thanks in advance Clickbump!

I see winners talking on the forum about doing this. I do not think the world is yanking my chain. I want to start seeing the niches myself as well.

If Ezine Articles is your only method of link building you can expect index times of 10-20 days. Do some social bookmarking and blog comments, too. It will all come together. However, being indexed and to rank are 2 completely different things, too. Keep this in mind ....

Hey so I just created a micro niche website, and submitted it to digg.com
My website still didn't get indexed, but my backlink did. When I search my keyword, digg.com comes in the 2nd page (which is my backlink). Is that a good sign?

What and awesome thread! I just dived in and got Bump's WP themes which will make things a bit easier, and I have been applying Xfactor's technique with some moderate success. I think this discussion will help refocus.

Question for the brainstrust... I have a "posts" page, which is not the main landing page, usually titled "news" or "updates" or something. On this post page I have some auto posting of youtube vids, keyword relevant to main domain/front page keyword. I do this to give daily updates to the site, gets pinged, and gives me a new post that I can bookmark, and use the rss feed on a Hub or other Blogger etc. It gives a "less thin" dimension to the site. So I am looking at the one page site as per Bump, with an autoblogged post page for keyword relevant, syndicated daily updated content (not the home page).

I cant really decide if this dynamic updating of the site is beneficial or otherwise. Any views?

Hey clickbump,

I was cruising the forum and came upon this thread. Pretty ssssweet. I got to thinking about what I had been doing and realized that I was building bigger and bigger websites. In the old days, 5-8 years ago (lol) I used to build simple 2-3 page sites and made good money.

Some how along the way, I got lost building bigger websites and blogs. Backlinking, writing articles...it just sucked. A few months ago I abandoned that crazy process and started building the basic 3-5 page sites laser keyword targeted. Earning more money and doing less work!

The process works people, you have just to do it. K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid)

"Life IS short!" So FUN up!

You got it. They are made for Adsense and in the end google will shut them down one way or the other (either by not ranking or indexing them or by shutting down Adsense for them). Google has said several times if you provide value for a visitor, you are fine. A 1 page website is not providing value. A 1 page website is not a way to build a business.

So many questions here should not be asked, because the answers are already there. You just have to read and re-read this thread as well as XFactor's thread to see the answers and to make this work. The other problem is that people are reading it too much and forgt to do actual work.

Hi,

Which software tool / product did you use to get that chart? How much does it cost?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

l3y,

SOC is a terrible way to decide on the competition. There is no way that these keywords are worth five bucks each.

For 20 keywords from you, anyone could buy MNF and have the information for themselves!

People, if you want to really check the strength of competition, download Traffic Travis (free) and SEOquake (free) and see what your real strength of competition is.

That way you won't get ripped off!

I'm really incapable of answering that, but I would say you need to find out. Start with one per day perhaps and wait a week and see if you have any movement the next time your site gets crawled and reset in the index.

I can't tell you one way or another. Only Google can :-)

However, one of the central themes of my method (assuming you are already using Adsense in a well researched and opportunistic niche as described in the opening of this thread and on John's thread) is getting your site ranked highly. You are already there, so I'm not sure what you are trying to do otherwise.

How are you currently monetizing your site?

By the way, I use MNF. I also checked GAKT and it says 2.4k local searches monthly as well.

I also have another question: lets say my keyword is the singular form of the word, should I also include the plurial form? (the plurial gets alot of searches and no competition, but no domain name available) How should I write my articles including the singular and plurial form? It's going to be hard. Any advice?

Thanks!
Thanks for your question lirikh. For some great insights into this topic, Check out John's thread which is more geared to article marketing.

My method is mainly centered around getting your site ranked highly and earning money using the 5 fundamentals outlined in post #3 of this thread.

Hi There,

Great dialog.
I am "taking home" a small post but I think very important.
We have only 10 competitors, those in the first page, and before
starting the work we should evaluate our possibilities of beating them.

Thank you all for sharing.

Well, I'm pulling videos from YouTube. My site is a WP with Video Theme, it seems the placement of the Ads Block (Using adsense for now) is kinda sucks. :p

I'm thinking of changing all the content by implement Xfactor + your method. But I'm tired of bringing it back to #1 in Google if the site is drop again

What do you think?

BTW thanks for the tips for the previous post, I'll try to add one backlink per day and watch the results everyday.

If you put adsense on your site, I see no reason at all why your rank would drop solely for that reason. I've got several sites, that I think are ranked highly in part because they are consistently good conversion engines for the advertisers in the niche. Based on my competing sites depth, scope and PR, its the only conclusion I've come up with in many instances...

Thanks to ClickBump for the method.

I found a 2-word keyword with 18,000 monthly searches, 3 PR=n/a on the first page (top page has only 36 backlinks), and put up an exact-match (no hyphens) .net site using WordPress. Got it indexed (although not using ClickBumps method for that, all I did was put the site up and checked a few days later, it's already indexed), and will make some backlinks. I will put up a few more sites which match the requirements and see what results I get!

I hope this thread will continue to be active so I can report my results, ask questions if necessary and learn more

Anyone else tried the method? If so, what results did you get?

I have found tons of niches which fulfill the criteria mentioned by you but the problem is that all the main three TLDs (domain)is already taken, so it is advisable to use some prefix or suffix with main keyword phrase or leave that niche.???

Hi clickbump,

I'm honest I haven't read all the posts here but I'm very interested in what you wrote.

I'm still looking for a strategy for my site:
http://www.eurolappen.com

and for my friends site
http://www.acryl-gemaelde-galerie.de

Both are german sites. Could you give me an idea how we could boost their pageranks having in mind your statement below:

"It seems that most people are taken aback that you can get a site ranked (and stay ranked) highly without a certain amount of article marketing or extensive and consistent backlinking."

RM, great work. After reviewing your site, I would suggest you do the following....

1) Add some pics above your post content to help the reader quickly understand that your site is a match for their search

2) Add a contact and a privacy policy page

3) Use page titles for all your pages and place them in H1 tags

I think you are well on your way. Great work taking action!

Are your templates set up to do all of the above?

Thanks for reply clickbump my site was last cached on 9th February so is there any way to get my website cached or google will do it himself .

Will my rankings change when google will cache or it will change automatically and if rankings will change on caching when i can hope that my site will be cached ?

Also my backlinks i made are not visible not in yahoo site explorer and also not in google webmaster tools its been around 10 days my website is online and still i dont get any traffic can you suggest anyways i have done social bookmarking and all other stuff h1 tags etc are done already but still no success .

One more strange thing happening is that i done article submission at a directory and its showing on 8th position for my keyword but not site i am confused i thought my site will be benefited due to directory submission but its the directory who is getting traffic from the submission please clarify .Thanks a lot

I would suggest that, assuming you have a WordPress site, you install the free Google XML sitemaps plug-in and follow the steps to activate it. Next, create a google webmaster account and activate your site and link your sitemap you just created. Finally, you can create a new post or two.

Any or all of these activities should trigger a bot visit.

Tom,

Are you talking about an xml sitemap?

I think I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I almost always get indexed within 24 hours of a site being up if I do the following:

(1) add adsense to it (doesn't help with the indexing, but doesn't prevent it)
(2) add sitemap to google webmaster tools;
(3) digg it;
(4) clipmark it; and
(5) submit the site's rss feed to millionrss.com, feedage.com, feedagg.com and feedburner.google.com.

As for how I end up on page 2 quickly, it isn't all that difficult:

(1) Spot-on on-page SEO (2%+ body keyword density, EMD, keyword in title, exact keyword as <h1> tag, keyword included in at least one other <h2> or <h3> tag, 100% of my anchored links include my keyword -- instead of just "contact" or "about", my anchor is "contact -- keyword" and "about - keyword").

(2) easy competition.

No other magic sauce required.

To Peterj ..........

Pete - thanks for the PM, but I can't reply to you as I have not reached 50 posts yet.

Yes, the link you sent worked, but it came as a link - I can't see the code you used !! Haha

Is there some way you can communicate the code to me?

Many thanks
Val

Great work Lirikh, I agree with Big_t, I would throw a few backlinks up and see what it does.

What's the PR and Page Backlink profile of 1-9? That will foretell how much fruit your backlink efforts will likely yield.

From looking at the site that's in your sig file, there's a few things you need to do, like ASAP...

1) You're privacy policy page has no content. Grab a decent privacy policy statement and put it on there. If you are using wordpress, you can get a plug-in that will automate this (google: wordpress privacy policy plugin)

2) You contact us page has no content. If you are relying on the feedback form, at least put some into text there.

3) Add some product images to your home page. This gives the user a quick assurance that your site is a match for their search.

4) Relax about the indexing and ranking. You are at #15 for your KWP, even with the above glaring deficiencies. Concentrate on getting your content right, then you can think about your indexing and ranking. Develop a system, be disciplined about your business and your sites :-)

Hope that helps.

Hi Andri, you can do country based keyword search using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool (GAKT) here:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Just click on "edit" next to the sentence that reads....

Results are tailored to English, United States Edit

i am following your changes and i am now on #10 position but what the major question i have now is that the site which is on the top have more then 400 backlinks may be more but the anchor text they are using is different then my keyword .

So now here is the confusion lies that they are not having backlink on mine keyword anchor text still they are up may be i should wait for some time but suppose my site dont come on top after waiting then what i have to do please solve this part is most confusing .

Enjoying this thread !.

I like to use the SEOV in MS to see if the niche is worth a punt. If you dont use that this is how it is calculated. It is based on the no1 spot getting 40pct of the volume so that means if your keyword has 1000 exact searches it works on no1 getting 400 clicks. It is a daily calculation so each day for ease of the maths we will call the daily clicks to be 10. Multiply that by the Adwords CPC and it equals the seov.
So for a adcpc of $1 the seov is $100

I use the SEOV to quickly compare keywords and niches and it can be very revealing. Of course you dont need MS to do this as I have just shown ! but it certainly expedites things.

So all this begs the question what is the SEOV that people target when choosing keywords. Personally I am trying to get a $500 plus value if this is an adsense niche. 5 out of my last 6 fall in to that category but they have been hard to find (with exact domain names). 4 out of those have been very high Adsense CPCs.

So am I being too selective ?. What are you folks targetting ?.

Thanks

Si

what have you seen for an average time frame to get to the first page once your site is indexed?

I've got a 4 sites up. One of them rocketed to the first page on day one and then it completely vanished from the google index.

Some of the pages came back to the index the next day but not the homepage and the site is nowhere near the first page.
