A dramatic shift from one month to the next probably points more to a change in the underlying reporting technology more than an actual shift in traffic patterns. This would definitely be a big deal. Unless its something obvious like a news item or current event in which case this would be perfectly normal.

The CB themes have several benefits. They are super fast loading and super fast to deploy once you learn how the custom control panel works. You can make all of your layout, SEO and adsense changes in one place. Jumpstart cuts deployment time of new sites by 75%. In comparison to a standard WP install and setup, CB plus Jumpstart takes about 1/10 the time for a new site build. That's not an exaggeration and you'll notice I'm not promoting his products with an aff link. Time is money and the CB products are the best money I've spent in years. I've never had a single technical problem that couldn't be fixed in under five minutes and tech response time is typically a few hours. I'll add that any problems I had were on my end and once I knew how to avoid them, they were non-factors.

On many of mine they are down considerably. I just got a rank one for a 3600 a month term and the other day it's now 500 exact. I checked many of the old numbers even for sites I never made all of which were above 3000 exact, many are under 1000 now across many different industries. There are a number of articles and forum posts showing the same thing. I checked an ebook I just purchased that was written last month. The exact counts in that book that was giving examples is also down.

I have been lurking here for a while reading this thread and after some procrastination finally put the methods into action. However, things were a bit slower to take off for me and this is why: I purchased a few domain names a little while back and parked them. After some time Google indexed the parked pages. I then got off my butt and turned them into sites as per the instructions on this thread. However, as Google had already indexed my parked pages it took about a month before I saw any movement in the serps. So, the lesson here is to buy your domain and build your site straight away. Don't sit around pondering what you are going to do next or you might have to spend time shifting an indexed park page! |

Hey Scott I have been folowing your thread for a while now and i have a qustion about KW research on what kw's to target for my sites. I personally am using market samurai for the past year, since from what I can see most of the big online marketers say that's the way to go. It seems like most people in the new niche adsense website building arena rather use micro-niche finder... therefore there is a lack of information about how to do your keyword research using market samurai even though it's one of the top online marketing tools in the market today. (Or so I'm led to believe : ) I want to get some feedback from the market samurai users on what your keyword research criteria that you use in market samurai to determine a keyword worth targeting for your niche adsense sites. I'm looking for a breakdown on what search volume what SOC and any other type of criteria you might be looking at her example on the competition tab if the PR average is higher then three then you might not go for that keyword and information like that. Most of the ebooks i have read about building nitch sites do not provide so many details on this info IF you can help me out that would be great. Thank you |

There is a pretty significant difference between the "Previous Interface" numbers and those derived from the "New Check out the new Keyword Tool (beta)" interface.

I think I gotta try this tomorrow... I bought a .info for my EXACT keyword phrase-with VERY low competition- and it hasn't even been indexed after 4 days of a few backlinks and 500+ word articles. So tomorrow I'm getting a .com, org or net and gonna try it all over again. Thanks for the method Clickbump! |

With regard to .com, .net, .org & .info domains, I noticed something a little worrying the other day when I was checking to see if a new site was indexed. I typed in my exact domain nmae to the Google search and my site (not a .com domain, btw) came up ...BUT...in #3. In position #1 and #2 Google had helpfully asked if I had meant to search for 'Mydomain[dot]com'? And had included 2 results from the .com variant. It didn't suggest my domain with any other flavour (.net, .info etc) just .com So, this kind of shows me that The Big G really does favour .com Is this new or have I just not noticed it before? |

For example, I've got a .com for a highly trafficked niche, but there is a .org with the same EMD that has more authority and age. So in this case when I type in mysite.com, Google pops up the "Did you mean: mysite.org? I take that to mean that Google is suggesting the variant with the most authority regardless of domain extension.

Hmm, I made a comment on this thread about a week ago without reading it all or knowing what it was about(Just answered somebody's query). Since then I've come back to this last page everytime a new comment has been added and tonight I've only just realised what a clickbump actually is  It's piqued my interest, so can anyone one tell me if this method is still working or not? It sounds good on the website but then again they all do! |

Some are affected by it, others are not. Appears to be completely random but some say certain niches are affected more than others. I have no data to support one conclusion over another. The sites will settle at their default spot soon enough. Best to just stick with your plan and continue to work it as usual. In the case of an EMD, after 3-4 months of no movement, when there is obvious opportunity on page one, assuming you are indexed, you will need to increase backlinks to move up or abandon the domain and move on.

I'm tentatively suggesting that my minimum monthly search count (on exact match) be reduced to appx 1000 searches per month, until I can guage the real world impact of the change in GAKT reporting.

As I said, the 1k minimum number is tentative and a bit arbitrary until we know more. There's lots more involved in go/nogo on a niche than this number alone, so take it with a grain of salt.

I just recently purchased both xfactors course and clickbumps themes. I can say both of these guys are very helpful. Scott is so patient in helping. I had several questions, I am technically challenged, and he patiently answered each one. Same for a friend that I recommended to both. I know everyone wants a sure thing. I have spent tons on ebooks, coaching programs and such. These are the REAL thing. I have been removing myself from many email lists so I can focus my attention to these two programs. My only regret i that I didn't find them earlier, but better late than never. And at first I was discouraged with finding niche keywords that met the criteria, but if you find that passion, they are out there.Come on in, the water is fine.

Forgot to mention this, but someone much earlier asked about keywords with misspellings. I think with the new Google (forget the name) way of making suggestions, it will be very difficult to get people to even type in misspellings any more becuse it suggests the correct spellings. Just my opinion. I went for one with 22,000 exact local with misspelling and I can't get it ranked anywhere. The keyword is based on misspelling of common spelling, like "Kwik" instead of "Quick".

One last thing, Scott have you noticed any difference in success of any of your themes? We tend to go with the green and black xfactor style while the others may perform as well (and give variety). Didn't mean to dominate posts, but I am new to this thread.

Great Thread, over whelming amount of info. I am currently working on 6 sites, all using Xfactor and all ranking pg 1,2. Going forward ill be testing using CB method. I use MNF5 to get search counts, exact phrase, and domain availability but find mob and soc worthless. Since CB methods rely heavily on PR rating is anyone looking at MS (market samurai) SEO comp module? If so what are you using as your benchmarks for off page data?? I am currently using PR0 of at least 3 of 10 sites, BLP<50 on at least 5 of 10 sites, does this sound right and what else are you using?? |

I have a question about domain names again. [yawn...I know!] I found a couple of well juicy keyword phrases which tick all of the boxes excepy EMD. The are not available and they do not appear on pg1 for some reason. The EMDs are available as hyphenated .orgs, however. Some would say just move on and I was going to do the same when I remembered something Matt Cutts said about this. So I looked on youtube and he basically says that Google ingnores the hyphens but they could actually be helpful if a long domain name which can be separated differently. Eg. (OK, its a bad eg) camerasandbags (dot) com could be read by Google as 'Cameras and Bags', 'Camera, Sand, Bags' or 'Camera Sandbags'. What I would like to ask here, which seems relevant to this thread, is; has anyone done any testing on hyphenated EMDs? Any good/bad results? Also, what is the timescale you are all seeing now from getting indexed to appearing in the rankings? EDIT: oops didnt think that it would highlight my made up url as a link. Hey, someone just got a free backlink, lol EDIT #2 Has anyone had the experience with this method where your site gets indexed in Google & Yahoo but doesnt appear in the rankings for the keywords at all? I have a site like that. Not using the Clickbump Engine, but very well optimised (A+ in Traffic Travis Page analyser) for my keyword (which is not a particularly competitive one). According to TT and Rankchecker, although it is indexed, it does not appear anywhere at all for that keyword. I mean anywher...not even at #10,000 or whatever! This happen to anyone here? |

A site devoted to women's cosmetic products might benefit from a more upscale theme like BlueSwayde, ClickMagnet, PayDay or Gadget where a review site on a teeth grinding cure might do better in Inoved or ReviewSite since its set up to showcase things a bit differently. Bottom line, the green and black design is a proven one, but determining your best performing template will take some experimentation in your niche.

thank you everybody that have contributed to this topic. I'd like to ask a question though: besides spfyfu, what are your other methods for checking, on average, how much you could get per click in your ads? I'm asking 'cause I do not live in the US nor I'm targeting the US or Uk. So, is there a correlation between the "Estimated Avg. CPC" showed in GAKT and how much can I expect to get from adsense? Just a general rule would be more than fine, something like "Expect to earn 50% of the value showed in the estimated" something like that, dunno ... thanks again EDIT: just searched the web and it seens there is really no precise way to determine what I'll get from adsense. Oh well, even though, if someone care to share some tips about that I'll be pleased cheers! |

Hi all, I have a few questions regardin the Cluckbump template : 1.) How do I deleted the Site Menu list on the right sidebar ( I have 200 sites on 1 domain and it looks corny if they are all there ) I just wish to have Privacy policy and Site map links. 2.) How do I do the same in the footer ? 3.) What is the fastest way to get the 3-4-5 images on top without flickering with each image at a time ? 4.) Is it better to WRAP the text around the big block or to leave the big block unwraped and put the ocntent beneath ? Thanx |

I use MNF kinda new at it but I dont know what ''allinurl'' or ''allintitle'' mean. Also what do they mean and how can I find em please? What I usually do is I simply enter the keyword phrase into Google with quotes and you know on your keyboard there are two ways to use quotes you can press 1. Press Shift key and the number 2key or 2. Press the ''@'' key twice I use the first method, is that wrong ? ![]()

But guess what? That doesn't matter. The only site that matters is the one you want to beat to their position. If you get in front of the #1 site it doesn't matter if there is another 7000 or 7,000,000, you are in front of them all.

So in effect if you have a keyword called teez dishes but the .com ie teezdishes.com is not available and neither is .org or .net we should just leave it as opposed to trying teezdishesdeals.com or teezdishessales.com? Cos from my understanding if you're research of the first page of googles shows these types of easy comp eg teezdishes.com pr 1 yahoo links 1 teezdishes.net pr 0 yahoo links 0 teezdishes.org pr 2 yahoo links 3 then if I get teezdishesdeals.com write 5 articles on ezine with two back links hyperlinked teez dishes thats ten backlinks from ezine which is a pr 6 site and so it becomes my 10 backlinks juice going to teezdishesdeals.com which should at least make me over take teezdishes.net Or am I wrong there?

Obviously this has been answered but just to add if you use seo quake for firefox it shows the links to the domain itself Y links shown in "LD" and links to the actual page aswell Y links to page

(you can set it to any number you want to show, then a "View All" link appears) 2) Same as 1 but if you are following the instructions PDF you know your "pages" are reserved for static content (about, contact, privacy, etc). Posts are designed for product pages. 3) Media > Add New (not sure what you mean by "flickering") 4) YMMV, I usually just isolate the block and let the content flow beneath. Regarding domains registration. When you register your domains, do you use normal registration or do you opt for one of those protected/private registration services? |

Hi Scott, I've linked my Adsense account to my Google Analytics account to be able to track performance of Adsense ads on a couple of test sites using CE2. There is an Adsense-Analytics tracking code that I need to place on my site to be able to make this tracking work. Adsense is very specific about where to place the code: it must be placed above the Adsense ads code snippet and above the Google Analytics tracking code. How do I do this inside CE2's UI? I don't want to get into the theme editor and drop the code in there as I might ruin the theme's integrity. Hope you can point me in the right direction. TIA! |

In the Clickbump admin panel > Code settings > Custom Hidden Footer Code. Paste your Google Analytics code there. Anything in that box will appear just above the ending "body" tag. You may already have code in that area, just scroll below the existing code and paste your code. -Greg

How do you guys feel about adding amazon links and banners? I am torn between getting as many clicks as i can, and trying not to be labeled "mfa" if there is such a thing.. what are you guys doing with your sites?
