Stephane, keep trying, if you can't find an exact match you aren't trying hard enough.

I am currently averaging about $11 per day on my adsense sites, and it grows every month. I use and love the Clickbump themes, but I have made my own plan - as I think everyone should. I do what works for me. I add more content to my sites about once or twice a month. I use article marketing, but I have not fully marketed my sites to the extent John suggests. I also resubmit my articles to other directories after they are accepted to Ezine, so I don't write original articles for each directory.

Anyway, my rambling point is - find what works best for you. I don't have the time to spend a lot of time with my sites, but I have found the best backlinking is articles. For me anyway.

BTW - my best site doubled it's monthly income in July with NO additional backlinking and only one page of content added since the first of June. I have had a busy summer

And, at the end of the day the Clickbump templates are the best! They make it so easy to create and maintain my sites

Sorry - I didn't mean for this to be so long . . .

Stephane - my experience has been different than scrapgirl42. I have found that the clickbump sites generated too little Adsense income to make it worth my time. So, last month I removed all of the Adsense and added affiliate products/links to my sites. So far I have I have seen a much better ROI (in terms of time invested...remember everyones TIME is valuable). My conclusion so far is that the affiliate business model makes much more sense. After all, one sale of a Clickbank product that net $20+ equals a BUNCH of Adsense clicks.

The Clickbump themes are great and like scrapgirl42 said you have to find "...what works for you."

Hi Brittlesnc, it can definitely be done and several of my customers do it quite often.

Personally, in my site portfolio, I don't directly compete with any big box retailers with one exception. In that case, my site is at #2, just behind the product manufacturer. The amazon site is at #7. My site is a simple microsite based on a single product with 3 product pages (in addition to the about, contact, privacy pages).

Very nice clickbump

Would you tell how many sites are earning that amount and what is the average winning per site?

I ask just to set my goals on a realistic field and not have too high or too low expectations.

Nice going scrapgirl

How many sites and how much time took you to go there?

My first main goal is to get to $10 per day with 10 sites. Do you think is achievable?

When you add more content to your sites, what do you write about? Any specific additional keyword or just anything around the main topic?

I also do what you do sending the same article to multiple article directories once it's already approved on ezines
Do you write your articles on any topic different from the one your site is about as Xfactor recommends? or do you wirte your articles in the same topic? This is a doubt I got because I've also read that the articles must be on the same or related topic to be more relevant so I'm not compeltely sure what is best.

What do you attribute the jump of your best site? The added content or some change on the layout or what?

Sorry for all these questions but they will clear a lot of doubts I currently have. I hope you can answer them

Hey just checking this thread. I haven't been here in a while. Seems like everyone is doing well.

I have been working on a few clickbank sites for the past few months and just recently sold 2 of them for decent money. I haven't touched any of my adsense sites I made with this method since around December of 09 or maybe as late of Jan 2010. Anyway I haven't touched the sites for months. I haven't even really looked at my adsense account much either for a long time.

I got a few checks in the mail from google and that would remind me about those little sites I made a few months back. Anyway with just selling a couple of sites and needing new stuff to work on I figured I'd look at my adsense account and see how the sites did.

Anyway here are some stats:

I created 17 websites.

9 of them actually made some kind of money. The others made some too but pretty much total duds.

So I went 9 for 17 success to failure ratio. Thats better than 50%

Out of the 9 that were successful they made combined roughly $490 over 8 months (from dec 09 to jul 31, 2010).

That is an average of $61 per month.

Thats not bad money for some site I just threw out there, that took me like 2 hours to build.

It took around maybe 40 hours actual work. Starting with research to building the sites and that is with no automation.

So its a good method for sure and I have some new ideas that I think will make it even better that I am going to try. Also it is good to have lots of web real estate anyway it is a great investment for very little money.

I think I'm going to try to build like 50 websites in the next month and see how it goes.

Clickbumb thanks for a great little method. Well actually for teaching me niche research that finally made sense to me. It has helped in many other areas than just adsense.

I sent you a PM.

I have a set of 10 websites.. All of them are no.1 page of google but I don't know why they are not receiving any visitors from search engines and hence they aren't even making any money as well.. However my others sites with same keyword quality are making handsome income per month..

Keywords have more than 2000 exact search counts in google keyword tool

cpc is also around $1

I'm doing everything correct from my site but I don't know what actually is wrong with them..

Kindly suggest

Are these product or informational sites? If there are product niche sites you should be getting some traffic if google is saying 2000 searches a month. What are you stats showing? If these are informational sites, it could be hit or miss. I have a few informational sites ranking in the top 3 in google and only making a few dollars a month. Just throw away the losers, and concentrate on the winners

Have a great day

Google's search counts can be pretty inaccurate (as indicated via GAKT), if you have top ranking sites (positions 1-3) with no meaningful traffic, then that's likely the reality. I've had my share of these. You just have to dust off yourself and move on.

Thanks stoaf88, I'm glad you've found some value here and took action. You can see that its simply a matter of volume and automation once you've found something that works consistently. Nurture the winners and toss the losers*. The cost of failure is very low and even in failure there is experience and lesson's learned.

I've used my adsense niche site business as a field testing excercise for other projects and in particular my consulting practice with local businesses. So by applying the same principles we use to rank these microsites and get conversions, we can apply to business sites who are selling on the long tail but have no clue how to market for the long tail search.

*if your losers have traffic but no conversions, you need to make adjustments or try a different monetization strategy (perhaps affiliate products). Lots of my customers do both.

Hi Scott,

I realized today that when you are logged into Google Adwords, the traffic data is different than if you were not logged in (using the External Google Adwords Keyword Tool).

For example, a keyword was showing 6600 exact local searches using the external GAKT, but it only shows 880 exact local searches for the exact keyword after logging into google adwords.

When you use your filter criteria of 2900+ exact local searches, are you using GAKT after logged into adwords? or using the external GAKT?

I've also noticed that Micro Niche Finder and Market Samurai both spits out different monthly search numbers. It's really confusing that 4 different keyword research tool gives different numbers for the same keyword. Do you just rely on one tool and ignore the rest? Which do you rely on?

Also, you are ignoring Exact Phrase Count and SOC from MNF correct?

Thank you for your help!!

Hi Scott, Does this mean that you open a new 1and1 account each time you buy a new domain name? I thought the affiliate discount only applies to new accounts. Or do you have two accounts, one for the affiliate link setup, and another to actually purchase the domain name?

Hi Nancy, I just have a single 1&1 account. I get a credit (after the fact) each time I purchase a domain, but I have to purchase the domain by clicking on the 1and1 banner on my blog's home page here > wordpress adsense templates.

I order each domain on its own package, but with the same 1and1 account.

Could you clarify my other question (#827 above), whether you are logged into adwords before doing your keyword research?

You did noticed a VERY IMPORTANT difference.

I believe it has something to do with the settings in your account. This is the reason why many people are still not making money on adsense. They mistakenly choose a keyword with very low search volume. It happens to me.

Before you dive in, verify the trends in Google trends and make sure you have a consistent traffic for 12 months.

It may take you extra time and money but the best way really to find out the search volume is to put up a Google adwords campaign and make it run for at least 3 days.

Make sure it runs for the whole 3 days. This means that you start counting once your ads are approved which may take additional 2 days.

Just a quick heads up. Apparently there's a forum member here with the handle "clickbumped".

I suppose imitation is flattery but just wanted to alert anyone who might be following this thread this guy is not me nor do I know him.

If you mean rank at any position, I guess in maximum 24 hours I have seen mines to get indexed and with some ranking.

For first page, if the first ranking the site got didn't get there, in less than 3 more days I get it to first page.
Of course, if the site don't get there at that point, I will give it one last chance building a few backlinks.
If there's no improvement, forget about it and say NEXT!

This is only my experience in the sites I've built. I'm sure others will have different experiences.

Now the main problem which iam having is that JUST on the HOMEPAGE of my new site(XYZ) I am getting google ads which are related to ABC that means they are not relevant . However there is no such problem on other post pages, just on the home page .

I've seen many times where google will display ads for products from a previous website you've been to. So since you've been to ABC and then to XYZ it's giving you one last chance to at those ads. I don't think there's need to be worried.

Just be sure you've changed all the settings for the blog properly. General Info, SEO Plugins and such.

Just be sure you've changed all the settings for the blog properly. General Info, SEO Plugins and such.
Thanks for replying buddy, Ive tried everything, even dug up into the php files just to see if anything is hardcoded by any chance but didn't find anything no footprints consisting the keywords of previous site, so yes i am worried because even if it ranks its not gonna give any $ .

Hey man.

I finished launching a site yesterday and had the same problem.
I copied all the files from one site's theme folder to my new site's theme folder and changed everything and until now I'm seing ads corresponding to the previous site.
I've seen though that the ads are changing slowly to the new site's topic.
I also remember in a previous site it took like a week to show proper ads cause everything it was showing to me was one big pubic ad.

I would say don't worryy. Wait and they will show proper ads. If you want you can use a proxy to test what ads is showing to another ip address.

cheers

On these sites I'm only doing articles submissions to ezine and then the same article to 7 other directories and the some blog commenting. Although a couple of months ago I tested linkaloha profile backlinks for a month and still have not seen any of those indexed  so I wouldn't waiste time on that for these kind of sites.

The particular domain name must be unique and informative, Search Engines had its own requirements in placing the websites for 1st page the site must be strong in titles, contents and the corresponding text of the keywords is really important.

Anyway keep it up click bump method.

Forgive me for my ignorance and curiosity but how do you find related keywords?? Are those the keywords below/around the main keyword in the Adword Keyword Tool/MNF or is it a better idea to find them using the Wonder Wheel??

I use a tool called MAGIC Niche Finder to find my main keywords. Then I use MS to find related keywords I could use. But I never go for more than 3 additional keywords cause that would slow too much the launch of my site since I'm writting the content and I really don't like it and it's not my main language

I use GAKT for this. The "Related Keywords" are in a separate group below the first batch that Google provides you.

These are very important in that they represent terms that google deems synonymous with your chosen keyword phrases.

If you ever hear someone talking about "LSI" (latent semantic indexing) content, this is what they are referring to.

Sprinkling a few of these terms throughout your content gives google what it wants: validation that your page is a semantic match for the target keyword phrase. And that's one of the smartest things you can do to optimize your pages so that google cannot avoid wanting to rank them highly.

I've read the entire thread and am going to give this a real shot. Since the first post was in early '09 I wanted to verify that the technique still worked. I did my own research using clickbump's guidelines and stumbled across a few niches where his templates are clearly being used. This was about 2 days ago

So I'm sure this still works. So my questions are: How important are the CB Wordpress templates? What does the Jumpstart aspect do to help this process? Is there an alternative to the SEO4 Firefox plugin that will work for Google Chrome(Firefox won't acknowledge any toolbars or plugins for some reason)?

Two Signature lines for rent.

2) The second school says, If you have good content, the user might stay on your site long enough to decide to click on the adsense links (since they are the only way out of the site). The converse of this is that the user might spend so much time with your content, that they lose the buyer instinct before they have a chance to click through your ads.
Good content pays most defiantly. But no content at all cant do a darn thing for you. Go hard or go home. But at least get started.

I think GAKT got a update or something recently, I have been re-checking some keywords and they seem to have dropped from 5000 + to 200

Anybody else seeing this ?

IM now thinking that this is just a normal monthly fluctuation as we have just started in September! The tool used to show different numbers each month, so why should they not be different now?

Heres a question for Scott ( clickbump)

Scott how are your sites going now.??? Did they survive the May day thing ok?

What sorts of earnings have you seen for July and August?

Are you still creating more sites??

Thanks in advance

Hi Di, great to see you here

My sites as a whole are still going steady. I have seen my top earning site come back down to earth pretty dramatically over the past couple of months. That's mainly because the product was just introduced a little over a year ago and was a kids fad item that has become commodotized of late. So CPC is much lower and traffic as well.

My July-August numbers were down some as a result of that. Never the less, September is looking like a pretty strong month thus far.

I spend more time helping others now than I had the opportunity to do before - mostly people who are using my templating system but others as well.

I still deploy a few sites a month and I'm pretty excited about a few I've recently launched in some high traffic niches with EMDs.

Bottom line is that I continue to ad to my stable of consistent earning niche sites to grow my portfolio and diversify my various streams of income.

Since I installed the EMD lookup script into Firefox, I'm seeing a surprising number of available EMD's for some pretty high count searches. There is still significant opportunity and more products are launched every day that will continue to fuel this pipeline.
