Question about my Backlinks

Hello all,

I'm in the IT niche, and I'm currently acquiring a lot of "Haro" links from sites in "Marketing/Business" niches pointing to my homepage.

Having said that, will that hurt my SEO if 95% of my site's links are Haro links closely related like the above?

Thanks

  • Not at all. They are all from different websites and are about as natural a link as you can get these days. One of our past course students really climbed the ranks with almost exclusively HARO links and has remained at the top of his niche for many years, grossing more than $2 million per year.

    • Thanks for your answer man! Were all these links pointing to the homepage?

Also, were you using any silos in your homepage? Somehow to pass the juice to specific articles?

    • I don't see the depends part or the 'don't go for it if your site is new' part,

      It does not depend.

HARO links are links you get for helping a reporter with an article. When they publish the article, they link to you as their source of info or they quote you. Any way, the link you get is the kind of link Google wishes everybody got, earned. Which is good, whether your site is 10 minutes or 10 yeas old.

  • I would try to diversify my link profile.
Guest posts, web2.0, niche edits, forum posts, etc.

    • Why would you do that?

You think people, when they link to a site, they check the profile and, if the site has too many links like theirs, they pass?

There is nothing wrong with getting links via HARO. You do not have to do anything to offset them.

  • Main focus on your content as well your ON Page Optimization Internal linking and try to find out low spam BK and good DA

  • I think there is nothing wrong getting links fro haro as long as it has high DA and at least relevant to your site.

    • Can it be a closely related niche?
