Hi,

I am getting rid of one of my websites and want to move an article to a different site. How do I do that without being penalized by Google?

Google won't penalize you for doing that.

Agreed. Even if there was such a thing as a duplicate content "penalty", it would hardly be duplicate if the other site no longer exists.

That said, if the article ranked well, I sure would do a 301 re-direct to the new domain with it.

De-index the article first and then you can post it anywhere.
