Will SEO die after ChatGPT takes place?

Yes right, ChatGPT is AI tool not search engine.

i'm happy seo is there even though i don't know exactly what it entails yet. i just k own it seems complicated every time i begin to read up on it!

it compliments my email marketing to give info and drive traffic. and i am blessed to have a new virtual assistant, who knows both what i do and the tech/seo side of things.

They already do have something better and have for a while. They just have not released it.

ChatGPT does so much more than just generating content. Anyone using it for content generation is just scratching the surface of what it can be used for.

Like Mike said, it does more than writing articles.

If you're using it only for that, and just give it seed words, you're not really using it.

You can ask it questions and it gives detailed answers, which you can combine into an article.

It can write articles, beginning to end, based on question prompts and more. It's kind of like, you're the teacher asking students to write an essay /article /short story...

You could ask it to write in a particular style... You could teach it to write like you, presumably... your style.

Duplication will exist but kind of like it exists when you ask 20 people to write an essay on a particular topic.

So, you could ask it something like it: how are FHA mortgage loans better than Conventional loans, and it will come up with a bunch of ways.

And, from the little I've seen, the result is much better than most internet marketing / make money online people I've come across.

You could ask it to write the same article in the style of different people (an SEO article in the style of Virginia Wolf, then, the same article in the style of e.e. cummings, then Hemingway, then Faulkner... It can get fun real fast.)

Heard on the radio (yup, I still listen to the radio) about a high-school senior who developed a program that can tell you if it's AI-written or not... He's got some colleges and high schools wanting to buy his doohickey. With a bit of marketing, he can make it go national and make lots of money.

Good luck to them! Bing, Yahoo, AOL, DuckDuckGo ... none of them have made a dent in Google's search engine dominance. Maybe someday, they will become a verb, too!

... oh, and no ads? You know that won't be forever, right?

In other words, it is no different than content created by people. Of course, it only makes sense since the content is being "borrowed" from other sites on the internet that were likely created by people. I shudder to think what is going to happen when bots start interpreting and then re-writing other bots' content.

at first i was afraid as a fiction writer also that AI written novels and blurbs might replace me altogether, but one post i read said the book generated was only 150 pages and the blurb it also wrote for it didn't feel like it has soul.

i'm going to read a few of these AI novels if i can and evaluate, but my soul is the most important part of my stories and novels. Also, i research and hand pick public domain eerie vintage images to manually embed inside the story to give it atmosphere here or there. does AI even generate or find free-use images?

I just do a lot as a human in both my online business and as fiction writer that it feels like AI can't replace.

i'm also a fiction writer and was nervous at first about competing with AI written novels.

But i research and embed public domain vintage weird photos in a few strategic places within the novels to provide atmosphere or shock, and my soul goes into my stories as well as my online business so there's much that AI can't do that I can.

So far! lol
