Hello, fellow warriors,

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the best approach to doing SEO for a kickboxing club in the fitness/martial arts niche? Should we focus on local SEO? We have already started benchmarking our competitors and have identified our keywords.

We are used to doing paid traffic and are somewhat new to SEO. However, we are also struggling with link building because it seems that social bookmarking, profile creation, video submission, and website directory submission are no longer as effective as they used to be. Is that correct?

The kickboxing club offers these services:

â-- Authentic Muay Thai kickboxing training
â-- Boxing classes
â-- Kids' program for martial arts training
â-- Self-defense classes
â-- Personal training sessions
â-- Group fitness classes
â-- Gift certificates for purchase
â-- Membership options
â-- Training seminars

Your input will be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much for at least reading my post.

You should focus on getting citations, you want to be #1 in the map pack.

People choose from the map businesses listed in the map part of search results.

Niche edits, guest posts, and high-quality backlinks will help you in boosting your business website to rank higher. Are you offering you all these services locally? Then must focus on your GMB(google my business) and creating citations will also boost your website. Also, do proper on-page SEO and use your seed keywords in the title, description, and body of the content, and do proper interlinking and external linking. Keep in mind outbound links and inbound links can also harm your website, so be careful before linking.

I appreciate the information. If you get a chance, could you please let me know how and where to get high-quality backlinks?

As long as you know your audience you can tailor your content and get targeted leads . I can't tell you whether or not to market on a micro or macro basis because I don't have any data on your audience .

You might want to collect some data before you draw a conclusion.

What if, instead, you did SEO that worked?

In Off Page SEO you have to be focusing on getting backlinks from relevant website like Lifestyle blogs, Fitness blogs and in the same ways you can also start writing blogs on your known website about trending health fitness topics or write blog on frequently asked questions about fitness, diet and also you can write business unique selling points like "Special training methods for customer's under medication" in your blog section. Keep posting images, videos in the social media platform and respond to the viewer doubt on comment section, it increases brand value and maintain Online Reputation Management of your brand.

I agree with R. Blogging is a great way to go. Just write about topics that people are searching for locally. Look at the "People also ask" section in Google search results (usually just below the map pack). If you could write a post a week, that's best. Just needs to be at least 500 words and include a quality image (original images are best).

    Good luck!

When it comes to link building, guest posting is definitely a type of link building that can help along with creating high-quality content for your site. Make sure you're using your keywords as the focus around your links and content written. Content pillars are a plus!

To optimize the search engine ranking of a kickboxing club in the fitness/martial arts niche, conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant keywords and phrases, and optimize your website's content and meta tags with those keywords. Additionally, focus on local SEO by creating local business listings, generating positive reviews, and including your location on your website. Engage with your audience on social media and regularly update your website with fresh content to improve your search engine visibility and attract potential customers.
