Any of you in local?

I just did a search today, one that I have not done in a few months, and today I got very different results:

Las Vegas mortgage broker.

I got the 3 map results.
Then 2 websites (Yelp and Wallet Hub).

Then "People also ask."
Then another website (Expertise.com).
Then a new thing:

"How do mortgage brokers find lenders?Mortgage brokers work independently and act as a bridge between the client and the lender. They reach out to several lenders to form a network and build professional relationships with those they work with often. They use lenders who best meet a client's rates and terms, and some lenders only do business through mortgage brokers.

Do mortgage brokers need to be licensed?

Yes, all mortgage brokers need to be licensed. Individuals need to complete a 20-hour class that goes over state and federal laws for mortgages and other important information. Next, individuals take the official test with the National Mortgage Licensure System."

Those answers come from Expertise.com.

I did the same search with different cities. Got the same results (not all the same websites, but expertise.com was up, in the same spot, with answers taken from there).

In some case, I also got "What did people search for similar to mortgage brokers" and got a list of clickable keywords (commercial mortgage broker, mortgage refinance, mortgage loan officer).

I also got this:
What do people think about...

And the first answer was a review (This is a review for a mortgage brokers business in) from Yelp about one particular mortgage broker.

How are you adapting?

Seems like there are very few organic search results anymore. They've been replaced by an overwhelming plethora of ads and info boxes.

I'm not sure what to do at this point except hope that people start searching using something other than Google. I know that when I search, I find Google the most frustrating search engine to use these days. Too much junk I don't want to see, not enough websites where the actual answers to my query are.

Many times, I'm looking for something local, and the top page has nothing but directories. It just ads extra steps to my search. Now, I either have to go to page 2 or to a directory. If I go to a directory, once I see a result close by, I have to Google them to see the reviews outside the directory... Yelp reviews are often very different then Google's and the smaller directories have none.
