Adsense Tracking Code

Hi

I'm brand new to Google Adsense and I'm just learning it all now.
One thing confuses me though, google_ad_slot.

I think this is some sort of tracking code right? For individual adblocks.
Is this code necessary? I have a channel tracking the whole URL.

  • I don't know whats the code does but i'm sure that removing any chunk from the code is forbidden by their TOS

    • I have an adsense ready wordpress theme. Ehen I edit the theme, it has all the same code except this "google_ad_slot".
