Profitable Niches and Affiliate Marketing

I understand the PPC aspect of affiliate marketing. I understand how to pull off decent keyword research, how to split test landing pages, how to even rotate ads if needed. What I am confused by is how are people getting away with .5 to .35 cent clicks? I mean no wonder why there are making decent money.

I can handle PPC but I can never seem to find a niche. product, topic, or whatever that will allow me to actually make a profit if I receive more than 10 clicks a day.

I'm not asking for a straight up answer or the golden ticket but am I doing something wrong? do most people not push these terrible products from affiliates? Any input is appreciated.

Thank you

Yeah but if the competition is through the roof so is the CPC correct? I mean if you are shelling out $2+ a click, and HOPING not to blow your daily spending budget in a few hours....that doesn't sound too appealing.

Just because you offer to pay $2.00 per click doesn't mean that that's what you end up paying. Also, just because someone else is paying $2.00 a click doesn't mean that you have to pay that as well. IF the niche is popular enough, you can bid whatever you want and still popup in searches and generate your clickthrus.

Personally, PPC and PPV aren't worth my money anymore but I don't think my niches are PPC and PPV friendly. I generate more than any PPC/PPV campaign in forums and comments for free.
