This new search filter will show only text-based links in any search result. As seen above, the filter is labeled "Web", and clicking it will remove images, videos, and any other forms of search results.

Have you seen this update? Chime in.

This is a nice filter Google add-on when we going to search for anything. It simply shows you the website results. Images and videos are not seen when you click on the web.

Great for those of us who would like text-only results and are in the industry but it's pretty worthless for the public at large, since there is no way the vast majority of the public is going to click that MORE link or know what it does when they click on WEB (or why they would want to do that).

  • I have got to admit, there's something nostalgic about those classic blue links. They take me back to the good old days of the internet when searching felt like an adventure!

kinda useless IMO, the majority of people won't see it and won't even notice that it's there. also don't think it serves a purpose. It shows only the very basic info, whilst nowadays the internet is filled with tons of data

It might be a useful option for research purposes, but I don't think it will gain much popularity. Most users will likely never even find out about it.
