Hi everyone!

I have a noob question. I stumbled upon a website whose URL path names are quite different than what I expected for the page's content.

Example.

Its "Contact Us" page has a URL path of http://www.websitename.com/paintless...repair-near-me

Is it good for SEO or what are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

It is a form of keyword cramming / stuffing.

I don't know that much about it since I never do this, but I think that it is frowned upon.

You can find more details about this practice by searching online.

You could also ask ChatGPT, it is great at explaining things.

The URL is as close to totally insignificant as can be in terms of SEO (it may have an extremely minor impact, but far more important things trump its nominal significance). I wouldn't waste a minute of my time worrying about it.

I'm reading different things about the importance of this.

What makes you say that it's not worth investing in URL titles? And what on the on-page / technical SEO side is more impactful in your mind?

According to the SEO point of view, use the lowercase letter in the URL, Use Hyphens to Separate Words, and Ensure your website and all URLs use secure HTTPS encryption.

URL path, title, description, content heading and content should match to the purpose of the page. Mismatch may not help in SEO.

It's generally best for URL paths to be clear and descriptive of the page content. The example you provided for a "Contact Us" page with a URL path like "http://www.websitename.com/paintless...repair-near-me" could confuse both users and search engines. Advisable to use straightforward and relevant URL paths such as "/contact-us».

How important is having keywords in URL for technical SEO? Trying to figure out if this is really high priority or other things are with what I'm working on
