New Google Halloween 2024 Update

Today and yesterday, search traffic has been unusually low for many of the websites I'm monitoring. ( edited by moderator) It.might be due to a new Google update that coincidentally landed around Halloween. It's not official yet - we don't have exact confirmation from Google.

That said, I'm curious, how's your search traffic been lately? Are you noticing increased volatility?

    Traffic on my forum is fine, (a slight jump yesterday above the norm) but maintaining the standard it has been since October.

    Not sure how big your websites are but mine is 4 years old and huge so that may have something to do with it maintaining traffic during the Halloween update?

    The reason for the increased volatility was Google AI Overview, not a Google update.

    As for the update, it happened yesterday - the November 2024 core update.

    Do you guys see any fluctuations in ranking for the Google Nov Core Update? Although it is still being rolling out now.

    I believe if a website content is generated by AI it will get affected by this update. What is your take?
