    Nice work!

Now consider creating a product that the visitors to your site would be interested in buying, and you will make a lot more money than adsense pays.

...or focus on mastering one discipline (Adsense) before getting distracted by 1 of 100 other ways to make money online.

Nice work Ethan. Your EPC is reasonable already so just work on generating traffic for that niche now. In 3 or 4 months time your EPC will increase as long as your content is giving good leads for the Advertisers.

I like what John said in his Ebook.....I believe it's the most important point of his course.

When starting in this business you must.....K.I.S.S.

Congrats to you for starting out with a simple, yet effective plan and carrying it out.

Don't get lured into trying something else until you've mastered this technique.

      John,

I am not a member, I just took all the tips I thought were valuable in your thread and compiled them into a notepad file, and took action. I thought if I bought the course I might try too hard to replicate your exact site and what not, so I just figured I'd jump in and do it my way. :-)

I hired a warrior to write my content, I find a page that has similar content to what I'm looking for on each keyword, and I then send it his way so he can rewrite it and make it better and 100% unique I am a terrible, terrible writer and I hate doing it so yeah.. I don't see any other options for myself.

Totally agreed, way later down the road I may try other forms of monetization but not till I master this one thing. (finally.. i've been lurking around WF and buying wso's for years with nothing to show for it really)

Please allow me to correct this term "Xfactor Method"

My approach is not really a method - just good old fashion hard work.

Niches + Unique Content + Article Marketing.

There you go, my simple approach - now you don't need my book

Seriously though, if you are totally new then I would advise you better
to read the Google Adsense blog, put up some blogger blogs, get used
to researching keywords and writing niches.

Then later on if you feel like getting the info from someone that has
been around the block a few times, then I may be of service.

adsense works if you're targeting the right niche. The people that are only getting maybe a few clicks a day and a low CTR are targeting the wrong niche. In my opinion, the way to do this is to focus on shoppers and buyers and try both adsense and affiliate links on your blog/site. Test affiliate links for a week, then test adsense for a week. See which makes more money. Testing is the key to victory.

I've just made my sixth with the X method. While the first one got to the top page of Google with ease and maybe averages nearly a dollar a day, the rest have not done well at all as of yet (so your first site is not necessary an good indicator).

I think one mistake I've made is to trust the SOC ranking too much. Green lights in MNF aren't necessarily worth a bucket of spit and you really need to check the competition throughly on google.

I don't mind writing but at this rate is certainly has not been worth it financially yet.

I am starting to wonder if perhaps something like the Stephen Crooks method (with fewer but higher paying sites) is better (for me anyway). The one site I made with that method is making more than all my other ones combined.

Well, I wasn't exactly saying that my first site was an indicator of anything. Just the fact that I made money (no matter how small) already tells me that if I stick with this I really believe I can make it happen in a big way. I prefer the small site method simply because it would hurt much more in my opinion to spend a bunch of time/money on a dud. These sites are easy to bust out, and when I find a really successful one, I will probably expand out with more related keywords to get more traffic, but to each his own

Congratulations. I have only been doing the xfactor/clickbump thing for about a month, but you are right they are easy to bust out quickly. Its like a snowball. It starts off small. But sooner or later, you have nice change coming in every day.

Now that I have about 10 sites up and running, some sites jump from first page of google to back of the line, to up front again after a couple of days (after my backlinking work usually). But, with many sites going at the same time, it all balances out for me. My main earner for one day will change from day to day, but overall the day to day fluctuation isn't that much for me.

Note, in terms of quick indexing, this is what I have been doing for my xfactor/clickbump sites. It may or may not work for the masses, just relaying as to what works for me.

As soon as I have the site up and running, I:

        (1) add the site and its xml sitemap to google webmaster tools;
        (2) digg the site (using a firefox bookmarklet);
        (3) clipmark the site (using a firefox bookmarklet);
        (4) jumptag the site (using a firefox bookmarklet); and
        (5) add my site's feed to millionrss.com.

This only takes me a few minutes.
I have done this exact sequence for my last 5 sites and I am 5/5 in terms of being indexed by google within 24 hours. Some of them ranked well on day 1, some didn't.

What's funny to me is if my site is mysite.net, if I type in "mysite.net" into the google search bar 10 minutes after completing the above 5 steps, usually at least 2 of the 3 (digg, clipmark and jumptag) bookmarks showup at the top of the search. Obviously that doesn't mean my site itself is indexed, but it is nice to know that pages that point to my site are indexed almost immediately.

Nice tips there dude, 24 hour indexing is insane. The guy I outsource to uses dreamweaver, and forgive this noob question but, can you only have "feeds" on like wordpress/blog type sites?

wordpress/blog type sites have rss feeds built into them, but you can create feeds artificially very easily and quickly for any "static" page or site. Just sign up for a free account at feedage.com, and then use their html2rss converter. You just type in your URL and it spits out your new RSS feed.

Yes, all three of those would be classified as social bookmarking. I generally use social bookmarking more for ultra-quick indexing, rather than for long-term linking benefit. The top social bookmarking sites get crawled like crazy by google.

So only 3 of my sites are earning for me so far, they are around number 6-9 on page one. My best day was yesterday at $5.51. Today it's at $2.43 so far. My CTR is averaging 10-12% so I really am looking for tips on how to increase that. 79 impressions yesterday with only 9 clicks. My layout for all the sites is a small header, small paragraph, horizontal adsense box and then the rest of the content. Should I have a vertical box on the right or left instead? I kind of want to keep it at 1 adsense box on the whole page though, I don't like having clutter. Any help would be sweet!

Sites are not going to index and immediately jump to the top of google's rankings. What you are seeing are newly indexed sites that are just placed near the top until google puts them into the ranking. It's important to know so you don't panic when your brand new site drops down - it's normal.

They will then bounce around a bit and as you promote the sites they will settle into a ranking and hopefully move up.

Your CTR% is fine. You just need to work on getting traffic to the sight now. The other way to increase it is with content aimed at higher paying keywords. 50c a click is decent though and it will increase as your sight ages.

I did all my keyword research right for one of my sites , and it just got indexed yesterday ..... however it's not even ranked yet.... does this take like a week or something?

one more thing , the first site I created 2 months ago is ranked 10th on the 1st page for my main keyword..... how can I move this up ?

      would love some suggestions

Good for you Ethan! I love your positive vibes. I am also using xfactor's guide. I have switched things up a bit but the foundation is still there.

        Hello,
One of my xfactor sites had been in page 1 of google for 3 weeks and have decent adsense clicks. Suddenly I can no longer find it anywhere in google.
        Any advise?

For those of us unfamiliar with "XFactor" and the "XFactor Strategy", is it possible to fill us in as to what makes this strategy potentially susceptible to SERP slaps? I'm assuming they aren't your run-of-the-mill website?

Nothing - my sites get slapped up and down just like everyone else's.

They rise, fall, disappear for weeks, come back, etc. My income has
seen peeks of $900 days, then down to $200, then back up, etc.

This is a very unstable business when depending on SEO and search
      engine traffic.

Thanks John for the confirmation. I just thought and hope that sites like these are exempted (lol) and that I might have miss something for it to disappear suddenly. I have sites that appear and disappear in google now and then, especially if you continue doing backlinks.

Ok.That's how google is and it's something we cannot control. So, back to something we can. And that is to build sites after another. Thank you John.

Good point from John -this is all part of the game- My suggestion is to go wider -Once you have your site up, and add in Keywords that may noy even show in any research Tool numbers - look to Ubersuggest.org for a start but be logical, How to tips about, ideas on that sort of stuff -with a goal to get traffic from lots of keywords, less chances of being too slammed.... (I have been up to $1100 a month and down to $150 the next)

Rinse and repeat as they say, although ensure you actually adding some value to your sites and not just meaningless drivel.
