Sites that have more than 3-4 pages with content, and are interlinked well, will do OK in Bing. At least that's my observation so far. Other than that it's still a mystery to me too.

Google is way better at indexing sites, that's why it's the number one search engine. I would only worry about Google.

    Who cares about Bing.

Bing and yahoo maybe about 1/3 of total searches. So if you are looking for an edge, ranking in bing and yahoo maybe your answer.

that answer was a wast of time. did you even read the OP's question? It's also an idiot answer for several resons.

    back on track...

The only guess I can make about bing results is I think age may play a stronger role with ranking then it does with google.

It may be a crawling issue but I don't see a lot of new sites appearing suddenly in the rankings and very few new sites that rank well.

With google, if you know the right buttons to push you can rank a new site fairly quickly but I can't recall anybody ranking a site quickly with bing.

It's like bing has a probation period but I don't think it's necessarily a domain age probation period but might be a combination of several different age factors.
