Instant #1 ranking in Google?!?! How is this possible?!?!

First of all this is NOT my website...

The good folks over at FirstRankGlobal.com claim to be providing SEP (Search Engine Placement) services that will almost instantly get any website ranked #1 in google search results.

They claim that this is neither PPC or SEO but some sort of a hybrid they are coining SEP....

Could someone please explain to me what the H3ll is going on here?

Is this false advertisement....or am I just getting slow at my old age?

  That site sucks for onpage SEO, look at their title tag, lol.
  
  This was the first thing I noticed when I viewed their source code...and instantly discredited them as competent internet marketers.
  
  It seems like all these young marketers in the local offline seo industry are really just out there to make a quick buck. It's genuinely sad....

  Did AP ever answer your question? I'm not going to share this strategy with everyone but I'll send you an email with the details. It's nothing complicated and its no "big secret" like everyone claims.
  
  It seems like now days everyone wants to turn everyone question into a WSO to make a quick buck. I guess you can't really blame them but this strategy really only works for local rankings so I cant see it getting over saturated too quick. its a scam.it is impossible to make 1st position in organic even for the lowest searched terms and local listings are never at number,they are usually below number 2 or 3 listings.

Hi AP and s4nt0s,
Just saw your posts responding to smallbusinessfire.

I'm very interested in the Offline market also and am currently eating up everything I can on the subject. Have bought a few WSOs aswell with mixed reactions really!

May I be so bold, as to ask if you would also send me the snippets of information you were kindly going to send smallbusinessfire?
I am in a similar position, in that I also have no PM rights - you have to submit 50 posts before eligible.

My email; I've also just been informed that I cannot post my email address until I've posted 10 times.

I sure need this info, in the same day I went from 11 to one on yahoo, I went from 1 to 3 on main term and 11 to poof on another in google.

Once upon a time, i was a newbie and i thought i could get my site on the top of SERP within a few hours. Only to find out that i was kidding myself.

Getting your site to the top of SERP is not a days job.

It practically begins with optimizing your web page with your chosen keywords.

Then the next most important aspect is link building. There are numerous ways you can use to start building link to your site such as article marketing, blogging, forums, social bookmarking, blog commenting and so on.

You rank high you need to have higher links than your competitors.

  The links Paul M posted are right on the money. I think the site that was originally mentioned in this thread says 24 minutes for local search... they are probably right... for LOCAL search.
  
  I entered my wife's business in about 2 minutes, including the automated call from the Big G's Auto-Bot. When I checked 2 hours later she was right at the top of the first page beside a little map and the words local business results. It's free, it's easy...
  
  The site says something about potential clients from around the world... well, yes, I suppose if you made you address to be Indonesia it would show up in their local searches but I couldn't confirm this, my wife would not be pleased if she started getting international folks calling her. LOL

Guys... getting listed locally for your business is not a secret, it's not a magic wand... this is not something that is made up or a trick. I'm completely new to this game (2 months old now) and have been doing the SEO/Backlinks/Article thing for a few sites already...

My wife has a home based business so I put an ad in for her. There are some things that help you list higher than other competition in the same area, for example, I think if you have a personal website instead of a free one you get some place it seems to help.

Just do a search for "google local business" (with or without quotes) and check it out. Again, no tricks, no secrets, no magic wand.

Please keep in mind this is a LOCAL business only idea, I am sure you could manipulate it any way you wanted to get something else up there but I have only used this once, for my wifes business, and it worked very quickly because it's not an indexing thing like organic results. Think of it as PPC without the cost...

If you have any questions, let me know, I am here to help not to trick or deceive.

BTW: I am not sure if AP is talking about the same thing as I am, I am using the local business feature that the big G offers... it shows the location of your business on a map but it's not, strictly speaking, a map feature.

Well, it can possible through listing your site in google local business listing but a couple of days ago google stopped accepting ads for local business listing and soon local listing results will be disabled.

  I'd image anything that is abused will get removed. Googles strategy is all about increasing the customers experience in positive ways. That being said, I don't know if that is the case with this option in Google.
  
  I did just test it though and I can still add more ads. Maybe because I already have one? But that was just put up a couple days back.

  For SEO services, I would prefer to gt services of the site on google's search result. The fact that they made on fist page for the keyword I searched is one big factor for me to consider them to do SEO for me.
  
  I still find it hard to believe that I can make it to google's page 1 instantly if the keyword that I want is highly competitive.

I don't think we can get PERMANT results... on this way, you may be there for about 2 weeks on google, As soon as google understands the black hat methods, it will push you done...

However,
I am pretty sure that getting links via Web2.0 properties will help. However, you have to make sure that the content which you are going to publish in web2.0 should be UNIQUE and related to your keywords. As well as do not exceed 2-3 postings per day.... within 10-15 days, you can get 1st page... That will be there forever till any other competitors do not do any link buildings for their sites...

Whenever you read something like this just stand back for a moment and think. Is it possible to instantly out rank established sites for a competitive search phrase? Of course not!

If Google allowed this Google would become pointless, if someone figured a way of doing it Google's quality team would shut the loophole down.

  I find it amazing that people don't believe this local listings feature of google when I posted a link to google's own page. If you have a local business and don't believe this will work... all I can say is too bad. Personally I don't care. I put my wifes business there, it's still there right beside the little map saying local businesses.
  
  For those doubting... do you think I am lying? Absolutely amazing. This is not an SEO thing, it's a feature of google to provide the best experience on a local level for their customers.
  
  It's not black hat, it's google's own feature. LOL

I am seriously amused that people think that Googles Business Listings are a scam or trick. Maybe I should make a WSO and sell it.

This is a local business search technique, I think this thread started about a technique that looks like PPC (from their site) but who knows.

Well there certainly is a lot of potential business for local businesses. Like I said, I got my wife listed and well placed on the first page of google for our local results but that's just using the local business tool.

If you made a deal not to share publicly then I respect you for that. You had mentioned that you "should" sell it as a WSO earlier on in this thread and around here, it seems like everyone does that.

I don't think you'd lose much to competition locally though however, I don't know if by locally you mean in your area or locally to each business...

I've followed what you have said about setting up a local business listing with google, however this does not achieve the same thing - a #1 ranking on the "Sponsored Results" are the top of the page
