I am only an on-page expert, but off-page makes me hesitate a little bit. Do you think Off-page SEO has become more complicated these days? Now, many SEO's are making backlinks using automation services and tools. They are easy and time-efficient. I don't know how many people are swifting to automation and easy methods.

I want to ask everyone, is off-page seo easy or difficult?

    Off-page SEO is easy in that way when you use it efficiently and helps a lot to remain a site in SERP.
    Another option of automation backlink creation is not a good way to create backlink because that's not helpful for your site but for a while.

  • Off-page SEO isn't necessarily difficult - it's just changed.

    Automation can speed things up, but real results still come from quality, relevance, and trust.
    If you focus on ethical link building, content promotion, and building relationships, off-page becomes much simpler - just not shortcut-friendly.

    I would say to keep your category pages indexed provided you've added some intersintg content to it. So they will act as hubpages for the articles under.

    I think yes it is. Off-page SEO helps in promoting brand visibility while AI tools help in creating the content in various formats required for off-page SEO.

    Also, off-page SEO helps in boosting ranking when backlinks come from authoritative sites. AI doesn't directly help in off-page SEO but surely has a role to play.

    Off-page SEO is not that easy to generate quality backlinks and sustain in the SERP.
    If we can follow a few points: It's easy
    1. Find the quality submission sites (profile, Bookmarking, Forum, Article, Guest Post, & more submissions.)
    2. The website should has D4: Min 40, Spam Score: Less than 5
    3. Select the website as per niche
    4. Don't use the same websites to generate the backlinks for the long term.
    5. Do the backlink audit.
    Follow these points; it;s easy to do off-page SEO.

    It's tricky these days. Automation helps, but quality and relevance still make all the difference.

  • Yes, it's right that OFF Page SEO is difficult. Because it's not easy to get backlinks.

    Off-page SEO isn't harder, but automation alone doesn't work like it used to.
    AI has made search engines better at understanding relevance and intent.

    In my experience, manual, niche-relevant backlinks and brand mentions outperform bulk automated links.

    Quality and consistency matter more than quantity now.

    Good point. I don't think off-page SEO is harder, but it has definitely changed. Generic backlinks don't work like before. Context, relevance, and trust seem more important now, especially with AI-generated content everywhere.

    It's true that off-page SEO marketing is challenging due to the difficulty of creating strong backlinks.

    ofc,modern AI now deeply understands context,relevance,and brand signals,making genuine authority and E-E-A-T paramount over mere backlink quantity,while AI tools can automate research and streamline outreach,blindly using services for mass link building is now risky and ineffective.Off-page success increasingly relies on authentic digital PR,earning mentions from authoritative sources, and building real-world brand credibility.This strategic shift means it's harder to lie the system,but ultimately goat to more sustainable and impactful visibility.

    Yes, off-page SEO has become harder with AI, but only for low-quality and spammy practices. AI now favors high-quality, relevant backlinks, brand authority, and genuine mentions, making ethical and value-driven off-page SEO more important than ever.

  • Off-page SEO isn't hard... it's just allergic to shortcuts

    AI and automation made link building faster, not better. Anyone can blast 1,000 links in a day, but Google also learned to ignore them in 0.5 seconds.

    Off-page today is less about "how many links" and more about:

    Who is linking to you?

    Why they are linking

    Does it look natural or robotic?

    Automation = easy
    Recovery after a penalty = very hard

    I wouldn't say Off-page SEO has become more difficult, it's just changed a bit. I used to build links manually, now there are lots of tools to speed up the process, but you still need to use your brain: links need to be high-quality, relevant, and not look spammy. Automation helps save time, but without a strategic approach, it doesn't do much. So for me, it's more about proper planning than difficulty
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11843167].message }}
  • Totally get you. off-page SEO can feel tricky! Automation makes things faster, but nothing beats real, relevant backlinks. It's more about being strategic than doing more. Quality always wins over quantity
