How do you find dofollow blogs.

I haven't had a lot of experience finding the blogs, but you can check if the link is do-follow by adding the firefox do-follow plugin to your firefox browser. If you don't use firefox, you should at least have it available on your computer.

I use 2 methods for finding dofollow:

(1) you can use the google search parameters/strings to find dofollow blogs. Keep in mind that there are different blogging platforms. Among the more popular/common are wordpress, moveable type and blogengine.net(note that the blog platform is not actually at the address blogengine.net, it is actually a different html address, but all of the sites on this platform have a footer that says something like "powered by blogengine.net". Blogengine.net sites tend to dofollow more so than others, in my experience. For each platform, there are usually different keywords you can search for which tend to indicate that they are do-follow. If you do a search for something like "how to find dofollow blogs" in google you should find helpful search strings. For instance, wordpress sites with the "commentluv" plugin are do-follow, and there is a way to search in google for those. In addition, there is something that says something like "u comment, I follow" on blogs, which usually means they are dofollow.

(2) find other top ranking sites and spy on their backlinks. This is my much preferred method. I believe backlinkwatch.com will tell you if the links are nofollow or not. Why should I do all the legwork when others have already done it for me

As for telling if a link has the nofollow attribute attached to it, if you haven't already install the SEO Quake firefox addon. It will tell you tons of data about an individual site. I use it alot when I do google searches to check for IP diversity, page rank, etc. of all of the google search results. In addition, you can click a button in the addon which will put a strikethrough each nofollow link, so I use that for checking for dofollow links.

For finding the blogs have you tried the FREE software comment kahuna? it will let you type in your keywords and get targeted niche blogs and sites and you can even check a box to make sure you only get dofollow sites...good luck!

backlinkwatch is a great tool, but I'd like to find something that shows more than 1000 results. Can anyone suggest a better site?

you can also use the free version of SEO Spyglass which limits you to 1000 backlinks from yahoo only and a few other limitations but still great for the SEO on a budget.

Did dude just post his URLScraper on the forum for $7 last night? I think it does just that.

The problem is that many of these scrapers and programs are not telling you if the comment links are dofollow or nofollow, they are telling you if there's nofollow links on the page. What happens is that if the blog has dofollow in comments but webmaster is pagerank sculpting, it's nofollow blog as far as scrapers are concerned. This is something that doesn't come up in the pitch, surprise.

Don't worry if sites are nofollow. From my testing and several other peoples testings, your sites will still credit for nofollow links. Most .edu blogs are nofollow. Yet all of my sites with only .edu backlinks jump to the first page within a week.

Do you post once on a blog and a forum and move on? or do you regularly post on each even tho only 1 BL will count

I use two resources:

1. Comment Kahuna (already mentioned)
2. Do Follow Diver - just do a google search for it and it'll come up near the top of the results.

On a side note, I believe blogs related to your site are among the best backlinks you can get because the content on the page the link is on is relevant to your website.

It basically just gives you access to several built-in google queries to find various places to place your links.

I don't generally worry much about do-follow vs no-follow, frankly because I don't believe G takes it into account any more. That being said, Disqus makes it really, really easy to find new high PR blogs to comment on.

Best way to find out blog backlinks is through Google Webmasters. Once you register and configure your site for Google Webmaster's tool you will see list of links linking back to your site along with anchor text information.

Basically you can check whether a blog is dofollow or nofollow by seeing the source code of the post. If the comment URLs don't have a tag called rel="nofollow", then it means that it is a dofollow blog. Alternatively you can use the firefox addon called NoDoFollow for this purpose.

I like the idea of using software but more often than not I just use specific terms in google and try to search for commentluv blogs.. once i find a good one i just bookmark it.

Quirk Searchstatus addon for firefox is another way of finding do follow blog. If you like to find by page source then search for term nofollow in comment link. Dofollow blog is one great way of getting a backlink. You can also submit your site to some bookmarking sites as well.

- Type "dofollow blog" in Google and you will find some dofollow blogs directories and blogs which have this type of list
- Google blog search, go to advanceed search

There is also a tool that installs to Firefox that will let you know what links are nofollow when you are on web pages. I believe it is part of the SEO Quake program. When you turn it on it shows links with a line through it to tell you that the link is not following. I just started using it and its been very helpful.

I'm using quick search status in checking blogs and website if its no follow. It's more convenient to use.

There is an oddon for Firefox called NoDoFollow, what it does when active (right click --> NoDoFollow) is mark dofollow links as bule, nodofollow as red. When you go to blogs, see if the names of the posters of comments are blue or red, It's that simple.

As for finding DoFollow blogs, Fast Blog Finder is a great tool. The free one gets about 10 dofollow blogs at once.

You can search at Google.com...this is first easy way to get do follow blog list.

Dofollow or no Nofollow,why not use <a rel="dofollow" href="yoursitehere">Your Anchor text/keyword here</a>.With this you could get a link juice even from a nofollow blog.But,I would say,to look natural to big G,don't just use this all the time,leave room for nofollow backlinks sometimes and beside,a backlink is a backlink,either do/no follow.

Most KeywordLuv / CommentLuv blogs are DoFollow. So that's a start.

That said, you need to leave comments that you'd approve on YOUR own blog to see any benefit.

Most times I do NOT look for them. I use blog commenting really rare and I only use them for NOFOLLOW backlinks (because Google wants to see Nofollow backlinks too).
