Would you rather invest in better content or stronger backlinks if your budget only allowed one?

If you had to choose only one due to a limited budget, where would you invest first? Would you focus on creating higher quality content or building stronger backlinks?

your strategy seems good, so you believe in content optimization rather than backlinks creation, have you ever tried it for your own blog ?

alright, you spot on the point, we also have to avoid any harm while promotion our website, your strategy will be helpful of anyone whose going to start a new website

actually you wanna say that along with the pages, you need a bunch or keywords in your site so you can go for the backlinks

Focusing on creating content around keywords (without understanding the user's search intent) will absolutely harm your site.

This. This everytime. This is the hardest thing to convince clients off, and secondary to off-page is the SEO element that requires the most skill.

I would invest in better content because that will entice other sites to want to link back to my blog

I'd go with content first if I could only pick one. Backlinks amplify what's already there, but if the content isn't solid, you're just pointing links at something that won't convert or hold rankings long-term anyway.

That said, it really depends on where the site's starting from. If you've already got decent content sitting there with zero authority, backlinks might move the needle faster in the short term. But as a default choice with limited budget, content wins for me since it's the thing everything else depends on.

If I had to choose only one,I would invest in better content first.High-quality content is the foundation of SEO and can naturally attract backlinks over time.Strong backlinks are valuable, but they won't help much if the content doesn't provide real value to users.
