Maybe I'm alone on this one... but I created a site today and I can't get my Adsense ads to show. Its a simple content site... and what's wild is that if I right-click/properties the space where the ads are supposed to be, which is a big white area... I get the properties for the ad (Google etc.)

Anybody else have this problem? My ads are showing fine on my other sites... just not this one. I may try downgrading to WP 2.7 or something.

Maybe they just updated the site that's why you're not able to open that site...

  • There are many reasons why Google ads do not shows up on a website but i only remembered one and which is -

    - Site not indexed in Google.

Find out in Google if your site shows up in Google or not.

I don't think it matters if the site is indexed or not... I've always (in the past) plugged Adsense into a fresh new site and never had any problems.

    Man this sux...

It doesn't matter if the domain was just bought and you only owned it for a few days. It could have been previously owned by someone that did some naughty techniques with it and so Google banned that domain. If it didn't get banned by Google Adsense it is still possible to be banned by Google itself for such things like spamming people and if so, the domain will not be indexed in Google at all. Is the site indexed yet? If so, then that would rule out being banned by the Google search engine but not necessarily rule out being banned from Adsense.

Also, ads show up within 10 minutes not 24 hours as someone stated. It also doe not matter whether a site is indexed or not, ads will still display.

    Hello There,
Sometimes it is good to search for some outside help, i mean specialised. You may be good at what you do, but for some reason this time you are not seen the problem because you are deep into it. Release and retake, or allow someone else to give you a hand.Simple suggestion, just want to help..
    Cheers,
    Kanga.

After you install adsense code , you gotta to wait 24 hrs to display adsense ads. Wait for some time and still it doesnt display check wether you got any other ad networ ads on your site like adbrite or adgitize. Remove them and try adsense again.

Thanks... maybe things have changed because appx 10 minutes used to be the wait time... but I think I've found the problem.

I created an html page in that same domain, and put the code on the page.. code would not show.

I then took that same excat page, and pasted it into another of my domains... the ads showed up just fine. I then took that same page and placed it under 2 of my other domains, and the ads showed up.

So I guess my domain is a dud

I wanted to make some adsense $$ on a "Structured Settlement" content site... but I can't get my adsense ads to show, so maybe I'll go over to Adbrite and see if I can get their ads to display. Man this blows

Thanks all for the feedback. I got help by a very kind person on Google's Adsense forum, and they gave me a linnk to check if ads are showing on my (or any) domain.

If anyone is having problems with their ads not showing, plug your domain name into this tool, and if you don't see any ads then that's a good sign that your domain has been banned by Google

Google Adsense Sandbox Preview Tool with Text, Image and Video Ads - Leaderboard, Skyscraper, Rectangle and Square formats

I may create a seperate thread for this in case this post gets buried. I think its a great tool.

Here's a link that you could use to generate a good Privacy Policy for your site if you have Adsense ads... all you nee dto do is plugin your domain (and an email address... don't have to be your real) and it'll spit out a good policy that you could copy/paste onto your site:

Google Adsense Privacy Policy Generator - Create a Privacy Policy Adsense
