Landing Page Questions?For Adwords

What i would like to know is when i use adwords and send the traffic to my site:
7dollarebookshop thats in my sig.
Should i send it to my main page,as in my sig,or:
send it to the purchase page with a description ill say.
Say for instance,[the defintive guide to adwords],should i send the traffic to 7dollarebookshop,
or send it to:
[page.defintive guide to adwords.xxx.php.usahfloethg,whatever.]
If someone would look at my site and after viewing the main page,click on a book title and the page you land on,is that the page i send the traffic to to get a better quality score.
Im just trying to make some money,so thought i would try this.I have also used adwords before.But didnt make any sales.Didnt lose any money,just didnt make any sales.
I was trying to send traffic to errorkiller as an affiliate.

    You need to seek extreme relevance to earn high quality scores in AdWords campaigns. Always use the most relevant page for your landing page. Don't force your visitors to hunt and search your website for the appropriate page!

    Generally it is a good idea to build custom landing pages for specific groups of keywords. You will want to test various headlines, sales copy, layouts and call-to-actions to find the best converting combination. PPC advertising is most effective when you continually optimize your campaigns and landing pages.

    Thanks for answering my post.
    So therefore,it would be best to send the traffick to the description page that has the payment link.
    If its a long link in the address bar could i use something like [budurl] to shorten it or should i use a redirect on my domain?This would be for the landing url and not the display url.

    pcpupil as dburk has explained is what you need to do. With your adwords ad you only need to list you main URL as your display URL, in your case it would be

    www.7dollarebookshop.com/

    and because you are allowed to have 35 letters you can add a keyword to the end to form a sub URL like this for example with your affiliate link masker product you can have this

    www.7dollarebookshop.com/affiliate or

    7dollarebookshop.com/affiliatelink or

    affiliatelink.7dollarebookshop.com

    your destination URL would link to that product page and can be quite large so no problems with size as a rule

    However looking at your site and your sig it may be a good idea to do some keyword research on your products and then write a good solid article to add to that page about the product.

    what you have there now would probably not fire a good quality score if at all.

    Thats what i kinda thought about my descriptions on my page.Ill see if i can change it or reword it.
    The descriptins are not very good on some pages.I went to the ecoomerce forum but there not much help.
    I find much better here.
