Hello, I'm really not an expert on SEO, but maybe you can help me out? My question is if you have the right keywords for an article and then it gets published, then the next day you type in that exact keyword phrase, but it appears on the 2nd or 3rd page of Google, what are some tips or ways you can do to boost the article to the top of 1st page so it gets seen?

Thank you.

Rgallowitz is correct about backlinking to your article.

      Here's something I do:

I post my original article on a site like ezinearticles.com, then I'll have the article spun (different variations of the article created), and post those articles on several other sites all linking to the article... using my keywords in the anchor text of course.

Using this approach has gotten ezinearticles #1 spot rankings in under 24 hours after the article has been approved.

I also use this for press releases, and have seen page 1 "news" results in under 3 hours after the release.

Really, it' all about getting "chatter" about your article to get that #1 spot quickly.

      Good luck!

  • Everybody can't be number one just because they pick some keywords and write an article. That is not SEO.

If you want your article to climb... you need to only do a couple of things.

    1. Write an article that is so useful and create so much value that people will want to share it and thus it creates it's SEO momentum on it's own.

    2. If your article is a value creator then all you need to do is post it on a few social bookmarking sites and the rest will happen automatically.

No amount of linking is going to make a junk article good. People who focus on just getting as many backlinks as they can clearly are destined to fail.

yes, get backlinks. social bookmarking, rss feed, article directories and web 2.0 sites. Make sure the content is unique so the backlinks would count. Easiest way is to spin mass articles isong a software like power artcile rewriter.

    Hi Tristan

Just seen this post. You really need to get backlinks for the article from many different sources. As product creator mentioned I have just written a post in my blog that will show you step by step exactly what to do. This should be very helpful to you.

If you have any further questions I am sure the answers above cover anything that I have missed.

you may social bookmark your article, when approved. There are many free semi automated social bookmarking tools which you can use like socialmarker.com or socialposter.com

Just register at the listed SB sites in above tools and submit your articles, you should see a jump in your article ranking for your targeted keywords.

Other than social bookmarking you may try some other link building techniques like blog commenting, deep link directory submission, submitting other articles in different article directories and leave a link back to that article in author bio etc...

    hope that helps...

first of making article content. one thing you should remember that content must be unique. then posting in the article websites, some article websites getting approved within 24 hours and some websites taking some times. but after it will approved. you may social bookmark your article, when approved.

I know it probably sounds like statement of the obvious but wait until your article has been published and approved (not just submitted) by EZA before you bookmark it as you need to bookmark the exact url you have been allocated or else it is a waste of time.
