Press Release Sites

A couple of questions concerning Press Release sites. I know that PRWeb you have to pay for. Anyone have a list of PR sites that are free?

Also, let's say I go the route of paying PRWeb. Who takes these type of articles that I submit to them? Could you advertise a product through Press Release sites?

  • A press release site is for exactly that - a press release. The whole point of a press release is to advertise, but in a very specific style, ie press release style, to be picked up by journalists who transfer them to news copy, hence why they are structured differently to normal articles.

    Why not go over to PR Web (the only one worth worrying about if you want actual exposure rather than just a link to your site) and read - then you will see how a press release is structured.

    PR Web are expensive, but worth it,and I got an email offering "one release, get two free" today, so you might get a bargain if you join now.
