Blogspot doesn't count backlinks??

I have a blogspot blog with a custom domain name, which I've added into directories and a few bookmarking sites. However Alexa is still showing that I only have 1 link, pointing back to blogger.com. Is this because it's a free hosting platform even though I have it pointed to a custom URL?

    • I don't understand what you're saying... I have a Blogger blog with a custom domain that I know for sure has more than 1 backlink. Yet Alexa only shows that it has 1 and that comes from blogger.com.

      So my concern is since my blog is free hosted, any backlinks that it has does not get recorded, which is what Google will see.

    • I heard forum sigs don't get counted by Google though. Anyone know the answer to my question?
  • Seriously? you're using Alexa to check your backlinks?
    Use site explorer from Yahoo and you'll see a more accurate report.
    Forum signatures do show up as backlinks but their value is obviously deteriorated if most of them come from the same forum.
