What is first an obvious "NO" is actually a pretty interesting question.

Now, talking about your ads appearing on another SITE...i dont know whether it creates real backlinks (i would rather say "no")...but i know that Google searches for some keywords/sites of mine often came up with sites where i had an ad up....so the ad-text got indexed and there is SOME benefit in regards to SEO.

Maybe someone knows more?

I've noticed links from a PPC campaign showing up in my Google Webmaster Tools control panel. Whether or not these links count is a different story. I did check some out though and noticed they weren't "nofollow" links...

I would say that a link is a link, and if your PPC ad shows up on a page whilst GoogleBot is crawling it, it will be indexed and followed as a link.

If you go with some of the smaller ppc networks it can be good for seo and getting backlinks.

I have noticed that some of my pages have received significant increases in rankings during and after ppc campaigns. The effects might not be very long lasting, but there does seem to be some effect.

A link from ppc does not add any value to the backlink.
