Hi everyone,

I haven't found what i'm looking for...So i hope it's not already done...

So many gurus say that we need to create a landing page and put the address in Adwords ads. It's juts better in term of quality score. But if i have a ecommerce website and want to create traffic directly to this webpage, do i really need to create a landing page with links to my ecommerce?

I hope is clear... English is not my first tong...

Thank you

if you're bidding on Nikon d40 and you have a page where you sell that...then..no presell necessary! Just send traffic to where you sell THAT brand category or THAT model etc.

All depends on the kw...some kw's are more general...take "digital camera"...perhaps you do want to have some kind of presell..as that's someone who'd doing more research.

Having said that...I avoid the research kw's for my ecommerce sites...I get the longer tail ones with great commercial intent and send them directly to where they can buy

Landing pages are there to help you build your list. Unfortunately, Google is auto-banning PPC accounts that link directly to a landing page, so tread lightly.

When it comes to PPC for an eCommerce site, you can drive traffic to specific product pages in your store, but you better know your numbers. You don't want to spend $60 getting a sale that only earns you $25.

Ok, slow down here. A landing page is mainly needed for affiliate offers. In the past affiliates were directly linking to the merchant. If you already have your own ecommerce site than you can directly link to your site - preferrably the actual product page.

You can still use a landing page though if you want to improve conversions and limit the exit points for a visitor. It could be your normal website is too distracting or has too many leaks where you could lose the customer. A landing page would then create a partialle encapseld page on your website and do the presell.

But in general if you already have your ecommerce site that you, you do not need another landing page to please Google.
