Traditional Way Or The Wheel?

Hey Warriors,

I have so many articles lying around on my desktop that I decided to finally use them for promotion.

Now my question is:

Sould I create web 2.0 profiles on squidoo , hubpages, scribd...... and just link to my site and ping these articles to get them indexed fast?

Or is it better if I create an advanced link wheel?

What is better for ranking?

    Put your articles on article directory, if you have only article to promote.
    If you have complete site, then you can use 2.0

    I think it depends on how you setup the wheel. I.e. how big is it and how easy would it be for Google to catch on about it?
