5 new sites, Google/ezinearticles/goarticles not acting normal.

Built 5 sites 3 days ago, 1 article submitted to ezine/goarticles the same hour the site goes live, article approved on day 2, Google bot came on day 2. As of this moment none of the site is indexed.

Two strange things I noticed:
1. Google decided not to cache my signature in ezinearticles, if I search for "some unique phrase" inside my article text, I can see my article in the search result. But if I search for "another unique phrase" in my signature, google doesn't return that page at all. Even the last sentence of the article show up on Google, just not the sig.

2. Google also ignored goarticles, Bing indexed my article on goarticle already, but it's still nowhere to be found on Google.

Since many people suggested adding site to webmaster tools, I am now doing an a/b test, I've added 3 sites into webmaster tools, 1 of which has article back link, the other 2 doesn't.

Will post results as time goes by.

I have also noticed Google taking longer to index new sites with backlinks from articles than normal.

  • So not normal is when a group of high authority sites do not behave in the way you want them to behave?

You have a few pages to index, Google has to make decisions on what is or is not important for BILLIONS OF PAGES.

Normal is simply a comparison with what usually happens.

What's with the bitterness? I decided to join this place and post because I noticed people seems to have a good attitude of posting useful information here.

If every Captain Obvious decides to replace reality with their own just to bash someone's post, I simply won't post here anymore.

You want an ego boost, how about post something useful instead of nitpicking and adds nothing of value.

I can tell you that a year ago you digged or bookmarked and your site(s) where in the index HOURS later - so its not a surprise people are getting worried (including me). Because if you link and bookmark and 4 days later your site is STILL not in the index you start to think that you might be banned or something.

Maybe Google also puts every new site with immediate social bookmarks in the sand-box....who knows.

You are right, Google is slow now. They used to be so max fast that minutes after a power blogger links to my new page it was up. I thought goofy Google was on a roll, but now BING is king. It must be that BING has powerful servers. They are a lot faster at getting my content indexed and then some...

Google is fast becoming more selective with the sites in indexes nowadays. I'm not saying that your site is spammy or anything like that, but you'll want to get as much content us as possible. My suggestion is to spend your time writing content for your site instead of watching spiders and they'll come.

Bookmark all of your posts with Onlywire. This increases spidering and index speed. Hope this helps.

Patience! Yes, Google is taking unusually long those days to index, give it 5+ days. People see this everywhere right now.

    Either
    a) Google had a problem
    Or
    b) It's a new permanent change...it just takes longer now.

I have slowed down a bit on the profiles. I stopped seeing results about 3 weeks ago. It could have been a coincidence, but I thought I would work on other backlinking instead. I am going to pump another hundred profiles at a fairly simple keyword the first of the year to see if it makes it move up in the SERPS. I don't see how they are done, just wondering if they are the old directories. They were hot at one time too. They aren't worthless now, just not that powerful now from my experience.
