Just sharing something I discovered recently.

Wordpress blogs, when they allow the "leave a reply" feature allow you to enter your name, URL and your comment. When the comment is submitted, your name becomes the hyperlink to your URL.

Okay.So what? There are MILLIONS of blogs wordpress sites out there.

Here is is what you enter in google to find the good sites:

search on:

"powered by wordpress" "Leave a reply" " your keyword"

And you'll find wordpress blogs with your selected keyword, on which you can comment.

Leave intelligent comments so the owner accepts them. Never put your URL in the comment. Put it in the URL field and your name will be the hyperlink when the comment is accepted.

This will get you backlinks from sites which are full of your targeted keywords!

And to put the icing on the cake:

Do the same search as above, but add this:

inurl:.edu

So that makes:

inurl: .edu "powered by wordpress" "Leave a reply" " your keyword"

Google usually gives high pagerank to .edu sites. Make sure your put REALLY intelligent comments on .edu sites, you need to get passed the admin.

Ciao!

That will work for sites that are not "nofollowed" . A number of popular blogs will either moderate out your link or turn on the nofollow tag and then the link is worthless (except for a little traffic).

Well you chould use the Seo Quake firefox extension, and turn on the setting that detects nofollow links, and turns the links red.

This should save you a lot of time.

Just use a research tool so you can get the blogs with the keywords that you want. Therefore you can choose either you want to find a dofollow of blog or a nofollow blog

I use a combination of this with seo quake.. but remember guys whilst 'follow' site give the rank juice.. You do need some nofollow site links to make your web foot print look natural..

If google see a site with 10,000 links and all link are 'only' follow links then it will be 'BIG FLASHING RED LIGHTS' --> 'NOT NATURAL' -> 'NOT NATURAL'. This would easily be spotted... and flagged..

Natural linking contains both follow and no follow backlinks

  • There is no way that you can search do-follow links through Google as i always got some **** results from Google.

The best you can do is to search in forums where you can get huge list of do-follow blogs.

I think that it is also very very easy to find wordpress blogs where you can comment. What becomes hard is finding ones that are WEBMASTER FRIENDLY where the webmaster is NOT playing games, going nofollow, or editing out links.
