Backlinking to web 2.0...

I hear some people say that you should pile on back links to fast to a new domain that you own. That may be true but does that apply to web 2.0 sites, lets take squidoo for example, if I buy a back link packet, can I put all them backlinks up in one day, will google see this as fine since its a web 2.0? The reason I am asking this is the purpose of a link wheel, well a broken link wheel.

    Already established websites can easily take a high amount of backlinks at one go! So sending all your "single type" links to a web 2.0 site should be ok.

    New domains can take as many backlinks as you want per day as long as they are all of different kinds. link diversity is key!
