Adwords Problem

I've a problem with the way Google Analytics is interacting with my Adwords account. Rather than detailing which PPC keywords were used to access my site, it simply says (not set) in the keyword field.

Any ideas? I'm sure there must be a setting in either of the programs but I can't work out where it is

  • champ have you fired a email of to the G ? i a an aware ofany setting in adwords but i may be wrong, is there clues as to settings requirements in the help files /
  • Are you saying the only value you get is "not set"? Or just a small percentage?

Not sets occur when getting clicks from the content network mostly. It will also occur if for some reason, Google has not been able to resolve the keyword used. This would occur if the user does not have cookies set on. There may be problems that prevent the keyword from being passed, probably cookie settings but I suspect that could happen for clicks coming from the search partners. Do you have a large percentage of traffic from search partners?
  • Thanks for the replies.

The only value I get is 'not set'. I am getting this value for all the adwords fields within analytics (i.e. campaign, ad group, keyword).

From adwords I can tell that all the clicks are from a adgroup that has the content network switched off so it can't be that.

I haven't emailed Google because from what I've heard it's useless!

    Please help guys!
