Changes with Caffeine

Has anyone noticed any differences with caffeine yet? I've been building a ton of backlinks lately and have seen absolutely no movement in the SERPS because of them. I think that maybe backlinks are devalued now and there are different ranking factors going into play.

      They said it would be active after the holidays. Its after the holidays so I'm assuming that my weird rankings are because of it. I had several first result rankings on Google and here recently they have been moving in weird ways. I've been building the same amount of backlinks that I normally do, and my ranking keeps going down. It's weird. I think they are taking a whole bunch of new things into consideration for your ranking than just the amount of backlinks you have.

    A couple of months ago Google had a beta Caffeine search box available for webmaster feedback.

    I current results have been very stable over the holidays for my searches and do not look like the Caffeine update to me.

      I didn't know they'd launched either. When you say after the holidays when do you mean? Because I've not seen any changes to my rankings...

        Well it was stated somewhere by Google that Caffeine would go live after the holidays. It is very possible that it has gone live and that your sites are still holding up well with the changes.

          i haven't noticed any big changes in any of the rankings of my site either good or bad so far. pagerank on many of my sites have changed since the latest update last week, but nothing big from a keyword performance indicators like search-engine traffic as a result.

          my guess is that they are rolling out these changes slowly, along with the personalized search result testing they will continue to test.
