My success today on Google! I'm in the #1 spot on Google for the search term that I'm targetting! I woke up this morning did a search and lo and behold there I was sitting in the #1 spot.

I was smiling to myself. here is an attachtment of the screen shot Attachment 3514. I'm happy because of the things that I've been reading here at the forum is really working. Thanks guys.

I want to send a special shout out to Mike McMillan and his post on

Hah! Hate to break it to you but if you have been clicking that link for awhile, google will start to push that result towards the top on your personal computer only.

Try searching your keyword on a different computer that you have never used before. Thats your REAL ranking.

I remember when I first got started with SEO trying to rank my web hosting site.

I made it on page 3 for the term web hosting and I was so excited. But then I checked it on my moms computer to show her and I was sitting on page 8

      Doh!

I'm afraid Daniel is right. If Google thinks it knows the site you're looking for it will push that site to the top of the results - for you only. You could say it learns your click behavior and tailors the results for you.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

The thrill I recently experienced finding myself at the top of the Google mountain was too spoiled by the realization my results had been "personalized."

Wise to disable that function in Google before you go hunting you are spared the grief!!

I am among one who is waiting to see the similar results. I have reached up to 20th spot for a competitive keyword. Would love to wake up one day to see similar results.
