How Many Link Building Strategy Is Good for SERP?

I currently use article marketing, forums, blogging to build my links. Do i need to vary my link building strategy. Do the search engines love different ways to build your link or is the three methods am using ok.

My site is doing too well on the serp?

  • Three strategies alone is a little thin on the ground...

    There are 1000s different type of websites (WordPress, Drupal, phbb etc etc), it makes sense that your links should come from 1000s of different types of sites also.

    Not just article sites, forums and blogs.

    • The most important thing is to get as many backlinks from as many different IP addresses as possible, so as to make it look natural!
  • Yup, use as many ways to get links as you can. Why limit yourself?
  • These are fine by themselves....don't worry about the types of sites but rather the authority and relevancy of the sites where you get the backlinks. See my signature for free charts that have other ideas.

  • I use over 5 article directories, hubpage, three forums, blogger's blog, and a little blog commenting.

    Is that bad, can you list me more ways.

    • There are hundreds, if not thousands, of article directories out there for starters. You don't need to give them all unique content. You can take an article you have already written and slap it on them too. Any highly ranking articles you will probably not want to submit like this, but any that got slapped low in the SERPS from the word go are good for this.

      There are also hundreds of social bookmarking sites you can slap links on. Socialmarker.com is a good place to start there.

      Forums, blog commenting, press releases... there are endless spots there as well.

      And make friends... which probably means making more sites and working on ranking them. Many people have a variety of sites that they are willing to share links off of... if you return the favor. There is no set guide for this part of the deal... you have to make this happen.
