Google has just made a shocking move on Adwords called Contact Form Extension. (still in beta)
To explain wouldn't make it justice so I figure I'll just show you the picture.

If this is not proof that Google is OK with opt in form, I don't know what is.

  • I have never heard that Google had a problem with opt ins.

  • I don't think the problem is with opt-in forms, I think the problem is with sites that have no content except a squeeze page.

This proves nothing except for that Google saw a way to squeeze even more profits from Adwords.

    • Egggggg Zactly.

On another note, Opt-ins have nada to do with you giving someone your phone number; it has to do with someone giving you their email-and permission to mail them.

    • I just had a squeeze page approved yesterday and the quality score was 6. Not great, but they approved it and it was listed.
  • Google doesn't have a problem with squeeze pages either if they are done properly and don't mislead.
  • It is pop-ups, pop-overs and squeeze pages that Google hates., not opt-in forms.

    • I repeat, Google does not HATE squeeze pages, that's a blanket statement that holds true under certain conditions , far from all.

Ask Perry Belcher and Ryan Deis if Google hates squeeze pages.
  • It depends.

if your squeeze page is scammy, they will screw you up.

Keep your squeeze page simple and professional looking.
  • They are also incorporating images into shopping results and adwords now... video cannot be far behind. (Video is already in organic searches, of course.)
