Worthwhile buys software/links/adverts?

Morning All.

Buy software/links/adverts?

I'm new to SOE/SEM (first time), I'm three weeks into trying to get good SERP's on a new ecommerce store selling shooting clothes in the UK.
To be truthful I'm struggling, Yahoo! page two and out in the wilderness with google.

The on-site work is mainly done, I have a HTML title tag to update and tha's about it.

The off site stuff is hurting me, I'v submitted to directories, used profiles in dofollow blogs + forums many many hours of work and nothing to show for it.

So I was thinking that the following might be good buys:-

Market Samuri
Article Submission software - but what type?
Anything else you could recommend?

Links - I know Google hates that but does it work?

I was looking at an offer here but it was for links of inner pages of PR3/4 sites and some forums so there is little "link juice" to be had.
So how do I tell a good offer?

    Otherwise i would recommend Automatic Article Submitter (<- review on my blog), its a really good submitter and spinner.
    In regards to link spam software...you might want to check scrapebox.

    Otherwise i would say for off-site to hire people from forums...but then i know that MANY of them use the same software i use too. If you really want quality you need to figure out a way to work your software (scrapebox, fastblogfinder etc.) to find HIGHLY relevant blogs and then you can happily spa* uhm i mean manually comment on whatever it finds.

    Or hire a SEO and ask for quality, theme relevant backlink building.
