    • I have been using the shared proxies at proxybonanza (68 proxy package) heavily for maybe 3 weeks so far (with scrapebox and spyglass), and they have worked great.

    • Free proxy is for public it is spammed to death by thousands of users. So percentage of success would be lower. And also you may have to put more time and effort to get your updated public proxy list every time.

      Private proxies are proxies allocated to limited number of users on a subscription basis and most of the time it would be supplied with a password so access is restricted. Chances of getting a ban on these IPs are very less. You don't need to worry about getting ban on your IP as you are behind the proxy. The downside with private proxy is it is expensive and most of them comes with a monthly subscription charges. Average cost of 10 private proxy IP would be $18 to $25 per month.

  • Public or shared proxies typically get abused by all sorts of users. So, private proxies (where you are the only user), is likely not going to have issues with many of places that are commonly abused (search engines, craigslist, etc.)

    • I know this thread is a year old but bonanza doenst accept customers who are using scrapebox any more due to complaints and abuse.

    Just do a little test and take 100000 keywords, use 3 proxies
    and start harvesting. After a while SB will come to a grinding halt.
    Google blocked your proxies... Eventually they will clear again but
    all this time you can't continue with your project. So for massive
    harvesting with large keyword lists you will need hundreds of proxies.
    Not funny when 20 proxies cost you about $50 a month.

  • I went with Squid Proxies - 25 proxies for the month with the 25% discount (still works).

    Here's a tip: follow their directions

    I set up the proxies they gave me in my program and they didn't work. My bad. You have to log into their system and give them YOUR valid IP addresses (you can give them several) and they deny access to your proxies to the rest of the world.

    Once I did that, and gave it 60 seconds to propogate (I followed the directions this time) it worked like a charm.

    Ridiculously stable proxies and REALLY fast support. No order has taken longer than an hour to fill. I've had a couple of issues and both times I was given brand new proxies within 5 minutes of creating a ticket.

    • To echo a few others on this thread, I'd recommend squid proxies. Only had issues once when I was getting low success rates and logged a ticket. About 5 mins later I got another 10 that worked a treat. Definitely recommend them and good value with the discount

  • Yeah, Squid has always seemed fairly expensive. But they're incredibly popular. I guess most just don't look for alternative?

    main benefit of the review is it includes links to all the main players. Once I've played with them for a couple of months I'll let you know what I think. I suspect that it doesn't really matter as long as you go with a main stream provider and make sure they cover what you want to do e.g. scrapebox, Xrummer, BMD etc
