Keywords & High PR Sites On Page One

I was just wondering what you guys thought about high pr sites on page one. I do a lot of research to find really low comp keywords. When you put the search term in google in "" it comes under 10,000. Sometimes I come across keywords that have low competing sites but the whole front page is sites that have pr5 or above. I usually just move on but I was wondering can you rank for these easily or would it not be worth the time?

Seems as though the sites page for that particular keyword is not very targetted at all. Also Micro Niche Finder tells me that it would be easy to rank for as well.

Just wondering what others experiences of these types of keywords are.

    Perhaps the pages are not related or well seoed because this is not a commercial term - so the pages being ranked are pages from authority/news sites? If there is minimal search volume(less than 500 exact searches per month), personally I would not do seo when there are pr5 pages showing up for the term.
