Deep Linking Question

I've been in my own little SEO immersion course for the past month and I've learned an incredible amount of information from the forums and WSO's.

Several sources have recommended not worrying at all about linking to the home page, but to focus solely on deep linking to inner pages.

My question is, if I do that and let's say if I build up an inner page's PR to 4, will that automatically give the main domain a boost without linking to it?

  • you should be doing internal link building on your site anyways. This will help spread any pr around the site. If you using wordpress there are lots of plug-ins that auto link based on keyword phrases.

    i find it works well when my subdomains point at my main pages and then i do some quality deep linking.

    If you havent got the time i hire deeplinking experts on odesk.com and get really good ones for around 3 dollars an hour.
