So one of my so called mini X-factor site is getting 60 vistors a day, and I thought I might as well turn this site into a big site to get more users. So for a bigger site, are post or page entries better for seo and ease of use?

  • If it's a blog, I say posts. They build your main domain as well as new pages. If it's e-commerce, I say pages.

  • Depends on the layout of your site. As a general rule, if you want to post something on a daily basis, use a post. If you have some extra special content, consider using a page.

    • It depend on site designs...if you have wordpress (or any CMS) installed on your site then go for posts other wise pages are better option..

  • By default in WordPress, posts are part of the RSS feed and ping services while pages do not. Posts also can be used in a category/tag hierarchical structure. This makes them better out of the box for SEO purposes although you can get plugins that will do the same for pages. Also, there are plugins that do autoposting, reposting, auto-tweeting and so forth that do not work with pages.

If you're concerned about the date display and your content is more or less timeless, you can either use a dateless theme or modify the one you have to not show dates.
