No Links Found In Google!?!?!?

Wondering if any of you all have any insight for me with this.

I've went to a number of different sites to check my backlinks. Now I haven't been doing any crazy amount of backlinking. My site has been around for about 5 months now. I did the socialbookmarking 101 program for about 2 months. I ordered a one url authority bookmarks package from therichjerknet (25 bucks) about a month or so back and a couple of weeks ago, I started the 25 backlinks a day package from Konradbraun. I haven't really done any aggressive backlinking, but when I ran a check just now of my backlinks on a couple of different sites, I show up as having no links in google.

I have some on ask.com (around 50)

I have some on yahoo. (around 100)

I have some on alltheweb. (around 100)

I have about 10 on msn.

And I have some on altavista (around 100)

But none on google.

Is there a way to find out what exactly this issue is with google?

I wouldn't really wory about checking back links of Google as they don't ever show them all. I have had site up for more than 5 years and even though i have thousands of links I can only pull up a a hundred or so

What matters is how your site ranks for the keywords you want to rank for. If you're happy, then that's good -- just keep building backlinks and adding content and you'll be OK.

If you're not happy, just keep building backlinks and adding content, and you'll be OK.

If you noticed it's the same answer in both cases thats no coincidence. You need to keep your site fresh and to keep getting backlinks to it. That's how Google knows your site is still alive and that it's gaining popularity.

Good point on ranking. I should have included it in my post. Yes the site ranks on first page against others even with less visible links

Are you looking inside your Google Webmaster Tools account for the links or with a public search query?

The public access tools will usually never show the amount of links. But if you log into your Tools account, it will show them there.

I was using the public tools. Since reading this post, I went for the first time into google webmaster tools and added my site. Don't quite know how to use the function to check my backlinks yet but I'll see if I can find any literature online explaining how to do so.

        Thanks.

I typed in "backlink checker" into google and went to nearly every website on the first two pages. Most of them just tell you how many backlinks you have without specifying for which search engine, but a couple of them did specify how many and for which search engine.
