From past some time i am noticing that google has been strict with ranking some new sites particularly optimized with a long tail keyword phrase in url. In some cases i have seen sites not getting ranked at all, atlease till page 7 even when competition was very low and there was plenty of links pointing to the new site with the anchor text. I have seen this case with both web2.0 properties like squidoo and new wordpress blogs has anybody else noticed this too.

I just got one of my blog sandboxed for 1 day! Luckily it's only 1 day. Normally, if it came out of sandbox, it will rank much higher ... in my case, no. 1 ranking in Google for my targeted keyword. But no one know when sandboxed website will be back ... it can be a day, a week, a month or never.

Yes I have noticed this some of my new sites. I have one site that was indexed within a week (great) and started ranking well and another with very little competition has been indexed (only half of the pages) but no ranking at all. Both have long tail keyword domain names.

I do not understand why but will wait a bit longer to see what is happening with Google...

There is no 'sandbox', only a lack of quality authority links.

Well, I would say sandbox does exist ... more of a "phenomenon". It happens when one day you're there in the search engine, then out of a sudden, you're no where to be found. Some are lost forever, but most came back ... with good authority links ... bgmacaw let the cat out of the bag

Then that's not a sandbox, is it?

Sites are also deindexed - and that's been happening quite a bit lately according to some posts here.
