I just got an email for AdSense saying that my site does not meet theur program
criteria. Therefore, they are unable to accept me into their program.

The site link is: Rowenta Steam Irons.
Can somebody please check it and tell me why doesn't AdSense like it?

Hard to tell. They have been rejecting a ton of different sites now. Seems they are getting really picky on what they want to approve. I would say it mostly depends on the niche and traffic.

I'd bet money it is because it only has four content pages and is obviously a 'selly' site.

Try adding a load more content relevant to owners or buyer of Rowenta irons. Frankly, start again and make the site one that looks like it gives real value to visitors and is not just about pulling in sales from Amazon.

Adsense Team looks for sites that are not there with the main intent of snagging Adsense clicks, they ask 'would the site exist without the selly stuff?' and if the answer is no then the chances of getting accepted are slim.

Maybe try making a Blogger blog on a topic that interests you and then after a few weeks when it is indexed, apply for Adsense on that site. Once you have one site sorted then adding to any siteis not an issue.

Thanks guys. I do have unique articles, but I suppose I only have 4 and that's not enough. I'll write a few more and then try my luck again. Thanks again!

I'll be the first to say, nobody here works for google. Only
      google knows.

You may be under the false impression that they only did
not like the site. They may have not liked you much, either.
That's not meant as a dig, just a statement. They will always
send a canned response and it is hard to tell why someone is
rejected. Without know everything about you, your domains,
your address, your company, etc., one cannot pass judgment
without knowing everything. Looking at a website would not
      really help.

But, having said that, and after looking at the website, my gut
feeling is that you have a brand name in the domain. While that
is not illegal, google may find that it interferes with the real
company and their advertising on google.

It would be different if you were an authorized retailer for rowenta.
Like target, amazon, nextag, etc. But then you would be using
      adwords, not adsense.

Because you are applying for a new account, I think google has
gotten more strict. If you get approved on another site, then
sticking the adsense on that rowenta site would not be a problem.

I also read somewhere that google is being very strict on websites
that are less than 6 months old. Again, this depends on the individual.
      Many newer domains get approved.

I would probably have gone with a domain that just deals with irons,
      steam irons, etc. in general.

The site is three days old! It's been reported on a few blogs that google is not accepting brand new sites but wants a few months of age on a site before judging it worthy of adsense.

Edit: Don't know if google looks at this or not - but you've also used a trademarked name in your domain.

Thanks again. They say they only require sites from whose owners are from China and India to be over 6 months old, they allow the rest, but we'll see. I'll make another one and then place the ads on this one after I edit it a bit.

Getting an Adsense account is quite difficult now for starters. But you'll be approved if you do have good traffics every month & specially traffics from US & canada.

I agree with Paul you will have to be careful about your brand name domain as sooner or later a C&D email may appear in your mail box.
    (I had one recently).

I would also add that sometimes Google Adsense do not like to see other advertisers on a site (as in Amazon.com) when you sent it in for approval. However once approved you can add others on your site, I've done that with some of my adsense sites.
I also like ageing a site first before adding adsense, that may be the case as others are implying above.
I don't think it's the content on your site looks fine to me, good bit of information for your visitors.

Try and get an account using a Blogspot site (with a decent blog) or through an Adsense revenue sharing site that lets you use their reputation to streamline the application process. I am pretty sure there was a good thread on here only a few weeks ago.

Most likely it's the brand name in the domain that causes it. But, we don't know for sure why as we don't work for Google. Heck, we don't even know how much of the cut we are getting for each Adsense clicks.

Here's what I have been telling my buddies to do when they want to start making Adsense cash.

      1. Use Blogger.com
      2. Choose a general topic, like dogs, lose weight etc
      3. Post articles from EZA, 1 per day for 7 - 10 days.
      4. Apply for Adsense.

The niche here is not important since it's only for Adsense application purposes, unless of course you really like dogs (?).

As for the 6 months domain age, I'm in Singapore and we are not affected by this policy at all, hence not sure if it applies to all or only to China/India etc.

      HTH.

You meant here, Google not approve your adsense account?

I was see your site and I do no think
that the main problem is about the niche and your
    topic about iron.

My account was approved by google less than
4 days and actually it is easy to make us be accepted
    by Google.

Google love a site like a blog.I agree when some one here
said :...it only has four content pages and is obviously a 'selly' site.:.

I also think the same like this.Yes you still can use that site to make
money with adsense but better use another blog to get adsense account.

Just create one blog at blogger.com and choose topic of
insurance or credit card.copy the article from ezinearticles.com.
make up around 10 post at your blog and do not
make all 10 posts in one day.

make it looks natural by post like this ..maybe at day 1 you post 3 article,
    day 2 for 3 article,day 3 for 2 article,and day 4 for 2 articles.

after that try to get adsense account again using different email and IP address.
Trust me this way is really help!

Once your account was approved by google you can put your ads at any blog that you want including for your Rowenta Steam Irons site.

    g luck!

    I have an idea...

    Although you can't read Google's mind 100%...

It seems Google does NOT like sites that are ONLY
    monetized through AdSense.

    Why?

They seem to regard them as Made-For-AdSense sites (which they basically hate)

They seem to want your site to be able function and be profitable
even WITHOUT AdSense! They seem to like variety.

    Some possible tips...?

    - Add at least an Amazon widget with your
affiliate links on the sidebar of each of your pages.
This way you show you monetize through Amazon as affiliate.

    - Have some affiliate links or banners at the bottom of each
of your posts and sometimes also throughout the posts.

Some variety is good... I have heard of people getting their accounts
banned even if they had 100% original high-quality content and
great looking sites... but often nothing else but AdSense...

    This could be the reason...

...That's why my own WP site-building-tool does all of these additions
automatically -- for precisely that reason...

There may be lot of reasons from Google side. But if your account or domain is earlier ban, Google may not accept your adsense request.
