Hi Warriors,

Between:
1) CountryKeyword.com (Eg. AustraliaGolfLessons.com) and
2) Keyword.com.country (Eg. GolfLessons.com.au)

Which would you prefer for SEO purposes?

For SEO purposes, I would go with CountryKeyword.com. Why? Because you're more likely to get targeted visitors searching for that particular phrase and that will greatly help your search ranking.

Let's say I'm in Australia and am looking for golf lessons (per your example). I type in "golf lessons" and of course I get all kinds of stuff about that topic, none of which probably pertains to physical golf lessons in Australia. So maybe I refine my search and type in "golf lessons australia" or "australia golf lessons". Now your domain name contains every keyword in that search phrase, and you're going to have a much, much easier time snagging the #1 position for that phrase.

If you used the GolfLessons.com.au domain, you MIGHT get a spot for the more generic phrase "golf lessons", but your traffic will be very untargeted since 98% of the people doing that search will probably not be in Australia.

Another factor to consider is resale value. I would suspect that the .COM domain would probably bring in more than the .COM.AU domain if you ever wanted to sell it or flip the site.
