Failure to rank on first page of Google

First of all, how old is this site? If it is very new, it could be in the climbing stage, or doing Google dance where the ranking fluctuates.

When you said it was a low competition keyword that you were aiming for, how did you check that?

For me, if I want to rank on first page, there has to be at least one other new, zero pr site for me to knock off. You need to check how many PR n/a or PR 0 sites there are on a page, and then you need to make sure they have low backlinks too.

To check the backlinks, use SEOquake which is free, this will tell you how many backlinks the site has, and it should be less than 100 (IMHO) although some people say less than 50 and I have seen less than 150.

Also, have you checked that your site has lsi words in it? You should be looking at Google to see the words that it expects to see in a site. Then Google will assume that your content is relevant, which will help you up the rankings.

Unfortunately, it is not just a formula that will make a site move up the rankings. Google has over 200 aspects that it checks, and huge logarithms that it uses to do so. If we all knew the formula, then we could all make our sites rank really highly. So we just use the things we know and hope for the best.

It can take up to weeks in order to get ranked.

And you must do a ton of backlings and article submitting so that your page gets value and ranks and gets the 1 spot.
Even for a unknown and uncompetitive keyword it isn't likely that your SEO page will rank on the first page of google. That is why you must do article submission, Bookmarking and backlinking so keep on doing it and look at your Page Rank every day.

I hope you did include your main keyword in the Headline and did use it in the page often but not too often?
Plus salesletter does not rank very high, google does not like them.
Try to create a page with alot of articles and information like a real website and not a salesletter, that will increase conversions and let you rank higher.

Downpoint is that Seo will ALWAYS take time. So yeah, people are searching for information so basically optimize your Page Search engine friendly and provide good information.
