Hi Warriors,

If you know/use a good PR checker (or reliable process) that determines whether a site/domain that is up for sale has genuine PR or a faked 301 redirect, can you kindly share?

Many thanks in advance?

You probably already know this but I would take a peek at the sites backlinks.

You should be able to see if the PR is legit if they have what appears to be enough or quality backlinks that would give the site it's PR. If it's coming up with 0 backlinks then it's a good guess it's a 301 redirect or something fishy is going on.

I guess it would also be a good idea to see if the seller is pointing a bunch of their own sites and backlinks at the site they are selling to bump up it's PR... they could pull those backlinks as soon as the site is sold.

Age could also be a factor. It's not unheard of for older domains to have a bit of PR without the need for a lot of backlinks.

    I'm all about that bass.
