Beating video results in the SERPS?

I am currently ranked #3 for my top targeted keyword.

#2 is an thin PR2 affiliate site, which I think I should be able to take out eventually...

#1 are google video results for the keyword...

Is it possible to overcome the #1 spot if they have the google video results in there? Should I bother trying? It's a pretty juicy keyword (201k a month).

  • It is often said if you can't beat them join them.

    Why not create a video and link to your site then throw abunch of back links at the video helping it climb a little?

    • Thanks for the advice. I actually have a video that was ranking naturally in the top 20 in the google video thing...

      I just started building links for it last week though... lets see what happens.

      I still would like to have my site up in that #1 spot though!
